in Palestine/Israel seems like an endless and unsolvable conflict, doesn’t it? Just like the Troubles in Northern Ireland and Apartheid did in South Africa. But we are a people of hope, and there are so many reasons to pursue a just peace for our Palestinian and Israeli brothers and sisters on this tiny piece of land.
b It’s where Jesus was born and raised, lived and died and is the birthplace of Judaism and Christianity. b Palestinian Christians, Muslims and Jews who share a vision for justice have asked for our help and to stand with them. b Our Palestinian Anglican brothers and sisters minister to all through congregations, schools, health and humanitarian institutions. b The Episcopal Church has a long history supporting justice and peace for all the people of the Holy Land. Our prophetic voice is needed now more than ever. b The U.S. has failed to be even-handed in seeking a just peace. We are complicit in allowing the oppression of the Palestinian people to continue. b The movement to end this injustice is building throughout the world in the hope of a resolution involving all the people of this land.
