1.0

INTRODUCTION This is a proposal prepared for GRTC in response to request for CSR program for all the staffs in GRTC. As the companys policy conscious about the environment and social responsibility, the program has its purpose to enhance involvement of GRTC employees in social attachments with this years theme Go Nature. To go with the theme, location suggested for the CSR activity is Turtle Reserve Centre (Pusat Pemuliharaan Penyu) Padang Kemunting, Pengkalan Balak, Malacca. This activity has been planned with the collaboration of Department of Fishery, Malacca. The department has its purpose in conserving and preserving turtles as the species facing extinction. Two different activities have been planned for CSR activity. Firstly, gotong -royong in Turtle Reserve Centre and releasing turtles into the sea. Next activity is to clean-up the Pengkalan Balak beach side. Details of the program are stated clearly in this proposal.

OBJECTIVES The aims of the program are: To improve team corporate communication effectiveness. To create awareness among participants of the importance in conserving and preserving nature especially endangered species. To create active participation in community life To step forward in self-development, social skills and the ability to work closely together as a team to achieve objectives.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES On completion of this program, the team is expected to: Discover how having fun and accomplishing goals can be the best morale booster around. Understand the needs of conserving and preserving the nature Learn how motivating a positive attitude, commitment to the team, trust, and communication can lead to phenomenal results. Participating in social initiatives and organizations.

DATE 5th October 2013 (Saturday).

5.0

LOCATION Location for CSR activity is Turtle Reserve Centre, Padang Kemunting, Pengkalan Balak, Malacca. Fully owned by The Department of Fishery Malacca, Malaysia. The centre preserves and conserves turtle from 1990. Main activity here is turtle hatchery and awareness campaign on endangered species.

6.0

PARTICIPANT Participants comprise of all GRTC employees, interns and current mud school trainees. Total number of participants is 58.

7.0

PROGRAM The CSR program comprises of two agenda. First activity is to clean the Turtle Reserve Centre and to release the baby turtles into the sea in the evening. Followed by cleaning the Pengkalan Balak seaside. For the second activity, it will be organized as competition to motivate the gotong-royong.
