Please accept this letter as an application for the position of your new graphic design intern. I heard about this opportunity through your dear friend Herman Windisch, who is my beloved grand father. This opportunity is of particular interest to me, because Taylor Corporation takes every aspect of design seriously and I believe your team could benefit from the fresh ideas of an eager and driven graphic design student such as myself. I enjoy creating engaging online user experiences, as well as innovative logo design and product packaging. Furthermore, I love working as a team to solve challenging design problems for clients. I am currently a senior studying graphic design at the University of MinnesotaTwin Cities. Over the past few years, I have gained extensive experience in both print and web design. My attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to work well under pressure are a few of my strengths. Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 has become my best friend and my most valuable tool in my design work. Related work experience in my classes include: user experience design, mobile apps, web design, package design, and ads in the form of posters, postcards, and brochures. I am known to be an optomisitic, enthusiastic, encouraging, and refreshing person to work with. Even during the past few years at Buffalo Wild Wings as a server, I am always pushing people to do their best and never to forget to express gratitude and appreciation to others. Through the challenges of developing my skills as a server, I learned how to ensure optimal customer service, which is necessary for any career path. I often remember helping keep the business rolling smoothly by going beyond what was expected of me. I am proud to say that when a job is assigned to me, I always make sure that I complete it to the best of my ability. All of these positive characteristics make me a productive, reliable, and beneficial person to work with. I would like to request an interview with you and answer any questions you might have about my background, experience, or work samples. Please consider sending me an e-mail. My e-mail address is windi016@umn.edu and I will be following up with an additional e-mail in a week. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Sincerely, Sarah Ann Windisch
