for kids, ages 6-12, with disabilities Marion Diehl Rec. The Gifted Gardeners will be very active: filling our raised tables with fall-season vegetables, flowers and herbs; caring for permanent plantings at the Marion Diehl Center; and crafting items using plant materials. Please dress for the weather, as we spend as much time outdoors as we can!

Activities will include instruction in a variety of lifetime sport skills; basic line dance instruction; and stretches and exercise movements to music. All equipment is provided. In addition to learning or improving basic cooking skills, participants will learn about kitchen safety and hygiene; making healthy food choices; and proper food handling and storage practices. Spill Your Beans provides the opportunity for young women to talk about and gain support for issues they’re facing in their lives, such as health & safety, independent living, relationships, friendships, and self-esteem (participants will have the opportunity to choose the topics to learn about). Each month we will host a guest speaker or lead a discussion about issues that are important to you.
