My name is Annabel Adams and I’m the blogger behind “Feed Me, I’m Cranky.” In 2002, I embarked on a weight-loss journey alongside my twin brother. Together, we lost 250 pounds, 150 of which were mine. In 2009, I started this blog to hold myself accountable and to lose my “ nal pounds.” After losing those “ nal” pounds and realizing I’d gained an unhealthful obsession with my weight, I decided to give up dieting and focus instead on eating mindfully and exercising for its health bene ts rather than for its potential effects on my weight. My honesty about the challenges and rewards of going from an unhealthful lifestyle to a healthful one have allowed me to be featured in top national publications and afforded me a loyal readership. I write about tness and mindful eating and share my favorite vegan recipes and restaurants.

What “Crankies” Say:
“Hi Annabel! I’ve had a case of ‘disordered eating’ for a little while, and I just wanted to say that your site has really helped me in getting over the fear of giving my body the fuel it needs.” - J.W. “I love your page!!! I am sooooo sick and tired of humans being de ned by weight and beauty, as if either has anything to do with happiness, intellect, or creativity. (Or truly being healthy, for that matter.) I nd your page (and blog) to be a breath of fresh air!” - Carolyn Zeltner of Happy Homo Sapien “Glad to have found this page, love your blog. A snarky & real world approach is what people need. Good work!” - “I’m so impressed by the transformative journey you’ve had with respect to body politics, HAES(R) and nutrition.” - Amy Herskowitz, VP of the Association for Size Diversity and Health “I’ve been following your blog for a couple of years, and I don’t think I’ve ever commented before (I’m shy!). But I am always impressed and inspired by your insight, honesty, and your commitment to being as good and kind to yourself as possible. Your words never fail to make me think about what I can do to incorporate these lessons into my own life. In short: thank you. ” – anonymous “You are an inspiration! Thank you for helping to change our world!” – Elle
