Edit Input File

Before the program is executed, the input file that was generated through the use of the Staad Pre subroutine needs to be edited for the correction of input errors, deletion of unnecessary commands, and for inserting commands that are needed for plotting the results. To open the Editor Window, select the "Edit Input" option at the top of the screen. The listing of the input file will appear in the Editor Window. Find the commands MAX 14. MEMB 1 3 and MIN 10. MEM 1 3.

The origional plot commands that were inserted at the end of the analysis tutorial will need to be deleted. Go to the bottom of the text of the file. The lines of text four and five lines up from the bottom will read:
P L O TS E C T I O NF I L E P L O TB E N D I N GF I L E

Delete these two lines of text. Delete the printing of the analysis results for all but the last design cycle. Carefully read the input file for accuracy. If errors or omissions are discovered, make the necessary corrections or additions. To add plot commands for graphical presentation of the analysis results scroll-down to the bottom of the input file.
