Bronte School Headmasters Newsletter

25th October 2013

Starting on Monday 4th November the whole of the back garden is being re-surfaced and re-designed. How amazing is that! Mr. & Mrs. Carter showed us the plans this week for a most attractive outdoor classroom on the site of the present slide (which will be moved to the other side of the garden) and for a tricycle track inlaid into a new artificial surface. Wait until you see the finished sitedue for completion by Friday 15th. Were so excited! We are also excited about all the plans for the arts at Bronte School. Mrs. Gordon and Mrs Prescott collected the Arts Mark Gold plaque from Covent Garden last Friday; it is now displayed on the left hand pillar near the front door. They met the animator of Snowman and Snowdog as well as one of the producers from the Royal Opera Houseboth of whom have promised to come and see us in the new year. Its BAD HAIR DAY today! There are some amazing creations which will be judged this morning before the prizes are handed out at lunchtime. Photographs will follow in two weeks time. Our thanks to Mrs. Sutherland, our caterer and the Bronte Friends helpers for preparing and serving a delicious lunch. The winners in the Bronte Friends 100 Club draw will be informed later today. Good luck to everybody! I am pleased to announce that your representatives on the Parents Council for 2013-14 are Mrs. Singh (Reception), Mrs. Dhaliwal (Years 1 and 2), Mrs. Rogers (Years 3 and 4) and Mrs. Bedi (Years 5 and 6).
