From the world’s first audio cassette duplicator to the world’s

only high speed audio input device, Telex has mastered the
art of duplication. The innovative new Telex EDAT™ Zing is
a hardware and software solution used to digitize multiple
audio channels (.wav files) from analog sources at up to
8x normal speed. While it is possible to remaster older analog
audio in digital, EDAT Zing makes multiple channel/multiple
speed analog to digital conversion possible within the PC
environment. And because this process replaces the cassette
or reel master with a digital master, audio quality is greatly
improved as well.

EDAT Zing comes with a four channel PCI input card and
installation software, and is designed to interface with existing
analog playback machines. (A second four channel card can
be linked to create eight channel input.) EDAT Zing offers
four record speeds, including playback, 2x, 4x, and 8x. The
software, which allows you to configure the system so that a
minimal adjustment is needed for each new archival, consists
