who has been offered temporary appointment of the post of Assistant Engineer in the U.P. Housing and Development Board and Sri S/o........................................ resident of (Surety no-L) and Sri S/o resident of ............................................... (Surety No-2) do hereby hind ourselves and our respective heirs, executors and administrator to pay to the U.P. Housing & Development Board, its successors and assigns, (hereinafter called the Board) on demand the sum ofRs. One Lac Only. Whereas the Board have, at the request of the above principal Sri ......... employed him as Assistant Engineer in the pay Band 3 Pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade pay Rs. 5400 with other allowances sanctioned by the Board from time to time on the clear understanding that the Principal shall serve the board for three years. And whereas failure on the part of the Principal to serve the Board as Assistant Engineer for a minimum period of three years from the date of his (Principal) joining the post shall be deemed as breach of this contract and shall in no way release the principal or the sureties from their liability hereunder. And whereas it has been agreed between the above Principal and sureties of the one part and the Board of the other part that for the better protection of the interest of the Board the said Principal and the Sureties should execute such Bond as above written and with such conditions as are here under written. Now the condition of the above written obligation is that in the event of the above principal Sri failing to serve the Board as Assistant Engineer for a Period of three years on the above fixed salary or to which he would be entitled during that period under the rules, the said Principal and/or sureties or their respective heirs, executors and

administrators shall forthwith pay to the Board on demand the amount Rs. One Lac Only. And upon the Principal and/or the sureties making such payment the above written obligation shall be void and of no effect, otherwise it shall be and remain in full force and virtue. Provided that the liability of the Principal and/or the sureties hereunder shall not be impaired or discharged by reason of resignation. Provided further that in the event of termination of service of the principal by the Board before the expiry of three years it shall be deemed tobe null and void and thereby all the obligation of the Principal and sureties shall be ineffective.
