From Cheryl’s Desk
Do you Tweet? As an organization, we have jumped into the world of social networking through Twitter and Facebook. Social networking focuses on building online groups of people who share interests and/or activities, or who are interested in exploring the interests and activities of others. Twitter users communicate in short, 140 character messages, called “tweets,” to their friends or “followers.” Messages can be sent and received through the Twitter web page and other online services, as well as through cell phones and other mobile devices. Facebook allows efficient communication among family and friends where they can go for news and information. Feel free to post and share comments! Surfing the web and social networking are quickly replacing traditional methods of getting information and we want to make sure that our presence on these sites represents what the consumer and our friends want and need to know. It is important to us that we keep our website fresh and inviting and are asking our residents, families, and friends to provide us with feedback. We are working on adding updated photos and need new testimonies for our website and social networking pages. Enclosed with the newsletter, you will find a form for you fill out. This is an opportunity for you to share your testimony and experience with others possibly considering assisted living as a living option. We talk about telling our story and feel that it is best told through our residents and families who we work to provide a great service to. I encourage you to share your testimony. Thank you for choosing to live at Winona Health assisted living

We understand that there are times when we get behind on our bills. Any bills that you have that are past due need to be communicated to the Winona County Financial Worker. This is very important in order for your application to be processed efficiently and correctly. Memory Care Resident Picnic
Every year the residents at Adith Miller Manor and Roger Metz Manor enjoy an outdoor picnic at an area park. This year we went to LaCanne Park in Goodview and everyone had a really fun time! We picked up KFC along the way and enjoyed the peaceful setting at the Lake.

All of the kids grew up to be “independent and successful” which is a true testament to her strong-willed character. Irma quit school after completing the 8th grade to help on the family farm, but then returned to get her GED in the late 80’s. Now that’s determination! Irma’s Catholic faith is very important to her. She has been a member of Cathedral for many years. Over the years Irma has kept busy being involved in: 4-H, church sodality, Farmer’s Union, Cathedral Quilting and so much more! While she likes to keep busy these days she also enjoys her rest. Irma never turns down company and visiting with friends. She never misses a “Happy Hour” at AMM- she especially loves to come for the popcorn!
