. Those stories were usually about a beautiful and kind girl who had a tragic life. However, at the end of the story, her life changed and she lived happily ever after due to fairies’ support. Those stories influenced me in becoming a girl who can bring smile and happiness to other people in Vietnam particularly and all over the world in general. Although I realized that fairies do not exist, my dream is still unchanged. I could not find a way to fulfill my dream until I joined a voluntary group to help people in need. One time, the voluntary group brought me to a place that helped me to have a clear orientation about my future. This place named Tu Xuong is 200 kilometers far from Ha Noi (the capital of Vietnam). When I arrived there, I was really surprised. There were only small cork houses, under whose rooves lived a whole family. After only two weeks living with them, their daily pain and agony had become mine even though I did not realize that. At first, I believed that the village was so poor because of continuous attacks of storms and especially of facility shortage. Therefore, people in this locality can never get out of the poverty. During our stay here, we experienced abundance of difficulty which was far from our imagination. First of all, getting water caused us a huge problem. There was not any well; we could only collect water from a river which was four kilometers away from the village. Most of the villagers are farmers, who make money from growing food, so without water their lives become more daunting. Secondly, Vietnam is still a low-tech country; in Tu Xuong there are no sign of machine, and children don’t know that there are computers, calculat ors, etc in the world. Seeing their eyes shined after seeing a laptop, my heart was clasped by an invisible hand. Those children always wanted to learn and discover new things around them. However, the poverty had taken this right from them. The nearest primary school is 30 kilometers away from the village. Many children only went to school up to grade four, and then stayed at home to help their parents on the field. They had to quit school neither because of the tuition fee nor the long distance, but because of the fact that their family can not have enough food so they have to work to make food together with their parents. When given books and novels from us, many of them cried because they missed their school, missed the lectures and missed their friends. They just wanted to have a normal life like other friends who had chance to continue their study at school. That time I realized that helping them to get out of the poverty is the only way to bring them happiness and better lives. Yet how? This question appeared in my mind. With this new desire and idea, I came back Hanoi and started to dig deeper into the problems that created their poverty. I found out that in Vietnam there were more villages which were poorer than Tu Xuong. The desire in me fired up even more.
Years after years. The leader agreed and encouraged them to maintain this plant on their fields. Below is the story I found 5 months later on in a newspaper about Tu Xuong village: Many years ago. Unluckily. Your school will create a chance for me to attain the best knowledge to bring smiles and well-beings back to many people in our country. Surprisingly. Since this paddy grew so well in other places that made the local people think that they had not yet put enough effort into this. no success came and the village residents got poorer and poorer. Studying in Singapore will help me to gain the best knowledge of economics which I can use in my country. this paddy did not grow as well as the old ones. Singapore is a country which has the greatest economic structure in ASIAN region. That article helped me to understand that economical structure and plan could change the entire village and life of many people who lived in it. it was neither water nor facility shortage as I first thought but their wrong economical strategies and people’s awareness that made their long-lasting poverty. Then becoming a good economist now is my dream. .God always shows us the right ways. the leader in Tu Xuong told villagers to plant new kind of paddy which brought much profit for other areas in the south of Vietnam. This is why I apply for your school. he gave me a newspaper which contained the remedy that I was now looking for.
