Facing some problems in life????

3

What could be the reason???
4

Well! that’s surely an evil eye (Nazar-ebad)
5

Seems like ‘ye sab Kharaab shugoon ki wajah se hey’ (bad omen)????

6

Definitely some taweez/magic is done on me

7

If these are the first few things that are coming to your mind STOP HERE!!! Its not that none of your fears can be true but there is something else to worry about first. Always remember that nothing happens without Allah’s will. It could be a result of His displeasure (might be due to some disobedience to Allah done on your part) or it could be a test from Allah subhanao wa tala.

8

Why would Allah permit the harm to afflict His servant???

9

1
Allah tells in Quran that the afflictions strike you as a result of your disobediences to Allah, though he forgives lot of sins without giving punishment :

Whatever of misfortune strikes you, it is what your right hands have earned. And He forgives much.
Al-Quran 42:30 (Ash-Shura)

Whatever of good reaches you, is from Allah, but whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself.
Al-Quran 4:79 (Al-Nisa)
10

And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy, they rejoice therein; but when some evil afflicts them because of what their hands have sent forth, (as the consequence of their own deeds), lo!, they are in despair!
Al-Quran 30:36 (Ar-Room)

11

And verily, when We cause man to taste of mercy from Us, he rejoices there at; but when some evil befalls them because of the deeds which their hands have sent forth, then verily, man (becomes) ingrate (ungrateful)

Al-Quran 42:48 (Ash-Shura)

12

2
Hardships could encounter you as a Test from Allah subhanao tala in which case one has to be patient if desire is to get Allah’s blessings:

155. And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient).) (156. Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: "Truly, to Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.'') (157. They are those on whom are the Salawat (i.e., who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His mercy, and it is they who are the guided ones.
Al-Quran 2:155-157 (Al- Baqarah)
13

And We shall test you with evil and with good by way of trial.
Al-Quran 21:35 (Al- Ambiya)

And We tried them (Jews) with good (blessings) and evil (calamities) in order that they might turn (to Allah).
Al-Quran 7:168 (Al- A’raaf)

23

ARE YOUR SUPPLICATIONS NOT GETTING ANSWERED?

24

Try to figure out why your supplications are not being answered?

And He answers those who believe and do good deeds, and gives them more out of His grace; and (as for) the unbelievers, they shall have a severe punishment.
Al-Quran 42:26 (Al-Shura)

25

So, are you doing good deeds that Allah commands to do

EXAMPLE

Scenario 1 (a working lady’s statement):
I really… really want to pray 5 daily prayers on time but you know my job hours….. I already have to get up early for job. Can’t wake up earlier than that. Well! Fajr…. it’s way too early… I would then be too sleepy at my job if I’ll wake up for Fajr.
Oh! Zuhr and Asr….. I want to pray, I don’t know what to do. I cant pray at my job…. it would look awkward. I do pray Maghrib , but you know… family, meal preparation , kids, their homework and lot of other chores….. it hardly gives me any time. So it’s not possible every single day for me to pray Maghrib. But I do make my intention every single day to pray Isha. Even if I lay down on bed it’s just for taking a little rest but sleep over takes me as you know by that time I am way too tired.

But I do want to pray five daily prayers….
27

(14. Indeed whosoever purifies himself shall achieve success.) (15. And remembers the Name of his Lord, and performs Salah.) (16. Rather you prefer the life of this world.) (17. Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting.) (18. Verily, this is in the former Scriptures) (19. The Scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa.)
Al-Quran 87:14-19 (A’ala)
28

Where there is a will there is a way

29

30

31

Obey Allah, and He will look after you
EXAMPLES TO CHECK ONE’S OWN SELF:

• Do I pray all five prayers on time • Do I Pay full Zakah for every year • Do I Fast for the whole month of Ramadan • Have I done Hajj if it’s fard on me or am I planning for it

• Do I keep myself away from lying • Do I Fulfill promises

• Do I eat only Rizq-e-Halal • I am not guilty of Qata-e-Rehmi
• Do I try not to follow the traditions of biddah (innovation in Islam) • Do I care for Islamic dress code and manners

• Do I Take care of parents rights • Am I a good spouse as Allah has prescribed • Do I keep myself away from backbiting
• Do I keep myself away from AlFawahish

• Do I try not to spend extravagantly • Do I care to tell others to do good deeds and to stop others from bad deeds.
32

There is one in the above list which people do not normally consider as doing something wrong . . . . Which one is that

?
33

•Do I try to not to spend extravagantly

34

WHAT THIS AYAH TELLS?

(15. As for man, when his Lord tries him by giving him honor and bounties, then he says: "My Lord has honored me.'') (16. But when He tries him by straitening his means of life, he says: "My Lord has humiliated me!'')
Al-Quran 89:15-16 (Al-Fajr)

Allah gives wealth to those whom He loves as well as those whom He does not love. Likewise, He withholds sustenance from those whom He loves and those whom He does not love. The point is that Allah should be obeyed in either circumstance. If one is wealthy, he should thank Allah for that, and if he is poor, he should exercise patience. Richness and poverty both are the tests from Allah subha nao wa tala.

36

And He has raised you in ranks, some above others that He may try you in that which He has bestowed on you. Surely, your Lord is Swift in retribution, and certainly He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Al-Quran 6:165 (Al-Anaam)

(26. You shall give the due alms to the relatives, the needy (the poor), and the traveler, and do not squander (spend) wastefully.) (27. Verily, the spendthrifts are brothers of the Shayatin (devils), and the Shaytan is ever ungrateful to his Lord.)
Al-Quran 17:26-27 (Al-Isra)

Compulsive shopper

38

Allah will Test us
Allah repeatedly tells us in Quran that worldly things that attract you are the Glamour of this world so that you could be tested. One must worry about qualifying this big test.

(131. And strain not your eyes in longing for the things We have given for enjoyment to various groups of them, the splendor of the life of this world, that We may test them thereby. But the provision of your Lord is better and more lasting.) Al-Quran 20:131 (TaHa)

(7. Verily, we have made that which is on earth an adornment for it, in order that We may test which of them are best in deeds.)
Al-Quran 18:7 (Al-Kahf)

(23. And Hell will be brought near that Day. On that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance avail him) (24. He will say: "Alas! Would that I had sent forth for my life!'')

Al-Quran 89:23-24 (Al-Fajr)

40

HADEETH

Narrated `Abdullah: The Prophet said, "Who among you considers the wealth of his heirs dearer to him than his own wealth?" They replied, "O Allah's Messenger ()! There is none among us but loves his own wealth more." The Prophet () said, "So his wealth is whatever he spends (in Allah's Cause) during his life (on good deeds) while the wealth of his heirs is whatever he leaves after his death.”
Sahih al-Bukhari 6442

41

Moderation in spending money This ayah shows that it is about the charity other than Zakah

(29. And let not your hand be tied (like a miser) to your neck, nor overextend it (like a spendthrift), so that you become blameworthy and in severe poverty.)
Al-Quran 17:29 (Bani Israail)

You want Allah to answer your supplications. But are you fulfilling what Allah wants from you for He listens to your supplications ?

Al-Quran 2:186 (Al-Baqarah)

And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then surely I am very near; I answer the prayer of the supplicant when he calls on Me, SO THEY SHOULD ANSWER MY CALL and BELIEVE IN ME that they may walk in the right way.

Do we listen to all of Allah’s orders and Trust only Allah for the solution of our problems?
43

In the above ayah, Allah asks for two things for He listens to what we asks from Him:

1. Listen to Allah whatever He commands 2. To have faith and trust over Allah (alone)

44

We just tried to figure out how much we are listening to Allah’s orders.

Let’s now see:

Do we trust only Allah for the solution of our problems
45

When you must ask, ask Allah alone; when you must seek help, seek help from Allah alone.
HADEES:

(Nothing can harm you without Allah’s will)
Ibn ‘abbas reported that one day he was riding on a mule behind the prophet (pbuh) who said: I want to teach you something. Obey Allah, and He will look after you. Safeguard his commandments, and He will ever be with you [as your protector]. When you must ask, ask Allah alone; when you must seek help, seek help from Allah alone. Remember, if all of mankind joined to help you, they could only help you to the extend that Allah has already decreed; and if all of mankind joined to harm you, they could not harm you except to the extent that Allah has already decreed for you.
(At-Tirmidhi)

46

Check if you are believing in somebody or something other than Allah in regards with your problems, for Allah says to rely upon Him only
EXAMPLES TO CHECK ONE’S OWN SELF: • Mazarat
• Dargah • Taveez from sahir (magician)

• So called Peer • Omens (shugoon)
• Palmistry • Astrology • Horoscope
47

In the preceding Ayah, Allah clearly orders us to have belief and trust on Him only. Do not be misguided by thinking that your final belief is upon Allah subhanao tala anyway therefore it is fine if you are partially believing on something else too, as a problem solver like the examples given above. Don’t forget that this is an act that constitute ‘SHIRK’ that is to believe in somebody or something other than Allah in addition to Allah subhanao tala in any of the matters that are Allah’s distinctive characteristics. This is regarded as making partners with Allah. Allah has made it crystal clear that none can remove the affliction other than Allah. If one would leave believing in Allah and would trust anything other than Allah, he or she would be doing ‘KUFR’ not ‘SHIRK’.

48

Nothing can harm you without Allah’s will, not even a Magic

They followed what the Shayatin (devils) gave out (falsely of the magic) in the lifetime of Sulayman (Solomon). Sulayman did not disbelieve, but the Shayatin (devils) disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels, Harut and Marut, but neither of these two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, "We are for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us).'' And from these (angels) people learn that by which they cause separation between man and his wife, BUT THEY COULD NOT THUS HARM ANYONE EXCEPT BY ALLAH'S (IZN) PERMISSION.
Al-Quran 2:102 (Al-Baqarah) 49

How to get the protection of Allah

But if you remain patient and have Taqwa, not the least harm will their cunning do to you. Surely, Allah surrounds all that they do. Al-Quran 3:120(Aal-Imran)

50

Remember none can remove the Sufferings except Allah

And if Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it but He, and if He touches you with good, then He is able to do all things
Al-Quran 6:17 (Al-Anaam)

51

And if Allah should afflict you with harm, then there is none to remove it but He; and if He intends good to you there is none to repel His grace; He brings it to whom He pleases of His servants; and He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
Al-Quran 10:107 (Yunus)

52

What practices are seen around

53

(22. Nor are the living and the dead alike. Verily, Allah makes whom He wills to hear, but you cannot make hear those who are in graves.)
Al-Quran 35:22 (Al-Fatir)

80. Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs.)
Al-Quran 27:80 (An-Naml), Al-Quran 30:52 (Ar-Room)

Whose duaa is accepted and whose not

55

HADEETH

Imam Ahmad also recorded Abu Sa`id saying that the Prophet said: (No Muslim supplicates to Allah with a Du`a that does not involve sin or cutting the relations of the womb, but Allah will grant him one of the three things. He will either hasten the response to his supplication, save it for him until the Hereafter, or would turn an equivalent amount of evil away from him.'') They said, "What if we were to recite more (Du`a).'' He said, (There is more with Allah.)
Ahmad (Tafseer ibn kaseer -2:186)

56

If there is something which Allah is not giving you in spite of making duaa then remember this Ayah

And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.
Al-Quran 2:216 (Al- Baqarah)
57

Be thankful to Allah if you get what you asked Be patient if you don’t get what you asked

Because…
58

Win win situation for a Momin
HADEETH

Suhaib reported that Allah's Messenger () said: Strange are the ways of a believer (Momin) for there is good in every affair of his and this is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer (Momin) for if he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (God), thus there is a good for him in it, and if he gets into trouble and shows resignation (and endures it patiently), there is a good for him in it.
Sahih Muslim 2999
59

Difference between a Momin and a Non-Momin
Momin If he gets into trouble he shows resignation (and endures it patiently), there is a good for him in it. Non- Momin And among mankind is he who worships Allah as it were upon the edge: if good befalls him, he is content therewith; but if a Fitnah (Trial/affliction) strikes him, he turns back on his face. He loses both this world and the Hereafter. That is the evident loss.
(22:11-13)

If he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (God), thus there is a good for him in it

And when harm touches people, they cry sincerely only to their Lord, turning to Him in repentance; but when He gives them a taste of His mercy, behold, a party of them associates partners in worship with their Lord. So as to be ungrateful for the graces which We have bestowed on them. (30:33-36)
(Details on coming slides)
60

Behavior of a Non-Momin when s/he is put through some trial

(11. And among mankind is he who worships Allah as it were upon the edge: if good befalls him, he is content therewith; but if a Fitnah strikes him, he turns back on his face. He loses both this world and the Hereafter. That is the evident loss.) (12. He calls besides Allah unto that which can neither harm him nor profit him. That is a straying far away.) (13. He calls unto him whose harm is nearer than his profit; certainly an evil Mawla and certainly an evil `Ashir!)

Al-Quran 22:11-13 (Al-Hajj) EXAMPLE ?

61

EXAMPLE OF TURNING TOWARDS THE MATTERS OF KUFR AND SHIRK

62

EXAMPLE

Seeking help from fortune tellers with a believe that they know Ilm ul ghaib (knowledge of unseen)

See what Allah says:

(26. "The All-Knower of the Unseen, and He reveals to none His Unseen.'') (27. Except to a Messenger whom He has chosen, and then He makes a band of watching guards to march before him and behind him.)
Al-Quran 72:26-27 (Al-Jinn) 63

Behavior of a Non-Momin when s/he gets what s/he wants from Allah

(33. And when harm touches people, they cry sincerely only to their Lord, turning to Him in repentance; but when He gives them a taste of His mercy, behold, a party of them associates partners in worship with their Lord.) (34. So as to be ungrateful for the graces which We have bestowed on them. Then enjoy; but you will come to know.) (35. Or have We revealed to them an authority, which speaks of that which they have been associating with Him) (36. And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy, they rejoice therein; but when some evil afflicts them because of what their hands have sent forth, behold, they are in despair!)
Al-Quran 30:33-36 (Ar-Room)

EXAMPLE ?

(63. Say: "Who rescues you from the dark recesses of the land and the sea, when you call upon Him begging and in secret (saying): `If He (Allah) only saves us from these (dangers), we shall truly be grateful.'') (64. Say: "Allah rescues you from these (dangers) and from all distress, and yet you commit Shirk.'') (65. Say: "He has the power to send torment on you from above or from under your feet, or to Yalbisakum in party strife, and make you taste the violence of one another.'' See how variously We explain the Ayat, so that they may understand.)
Al-Quran 6:63-65 (AL-An’am)
65

[189. It is He Who has created you from a single person, and (then) He has created from him his wife, in order that he might enjoy the pleasure of living with her. When he covered (had sexual relation with)her, she became pregnant and she carried it about (lightly). Then when it became heavy, they both invoked Allah, their Lord (saying): "If You give us a Salih (good in every aspect) child, we shall indeed be among the grateful.'') [190. But when He gave them a Salih child, they ascribed partners to Him (Allah) in that which He has given to them. High be Allah, Exalted above all that they ascribe as partners to Him.] [191. Do they attribute as partners to Allah those who created nothing but they themselves are created] [192. No help can they give them, nor can they help themselves.]
Al-Quran 7: 189 -192 (AL-A’raf )

EXAMPLE ?

66

EXAMPLE

(18. And they worship other than Allah that which neither harms them nor benefits them, and they say, "These are our intercessors with Allah " Say, "Do you inform Allah of something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?" Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.)
Al-Quran 10:18 (Yunus)

EXAMPLES

•Pay visit to the grave of the one they believe in to show the gratitude. •Place chaadar on his grave to please him •Keep the child’s name like Peer ditta, Peer Bakhsh etc.

68

What Allah says

(152. Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying). I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless favors on you) and never be ungrateful to Me.)

Al-Quran 2:152 (Al- Baqarah)
69

And when your Lord made it known: If you are grateful, I would certainly give to you more, and if you are ungrateful, My punishment is truly severe.

Al-Quran 14:7 (Ibraheem)
70

HADEETH

Imam Malik recorded that Abu Hurayrah narrated that Allah's Messenger said: (One's supplication will be accepted as long as he does become hasty and say, `I have supplicated but it has not been accepted from me.'')
This Hadith is recorded in the Two Sahihs from Malik, and this is the wording of AlBukhari (Tafseer ibn kaseer -2:186)

71

HADEETH

The supplication of the servant will be accepted as long as he does not supplicate for what includes sin, or cutting the relations of the womb, and as long as he does not become hasty.) He was asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How does one become hasty'' He said, (He says, `I supplicated and supplicated, but I do not see that my supplication is being accepted from me.' He thus looses interest and abandons supplicating (to Allah).
(Muslim) (Tafseer ibn kaseer -2:186)

72

HADEETH

He (pbuh) mentioned a man having journeyed far, is disheveled and dusty and who spreads out his hands to the sky (saying): O Lord! O Lord! - While his food is Haram, his drink is Haram, his clothing is Haram, and his nourishment is Haram, so how can his dua be answered!
[Sahih Muslim]

73

HADEETH

Recorded by Imam Ahmad from Hudhayfah bin AlYaman that the Messenger of Allah said, by He in Whose Hand is my soul! You will enjoin righteousness and forbid evil, or (otherwise) Allah will send a punishment upon you from Him; you will supplicate then to Him, but He will not answer your supplication.

ARE YOUR PROBLEMS NOT GETTING SOLVED?
75

Try to Figure out why your problems are not getting solved?

And for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy.
Al-Quran 65:4 (Al-Talaq)

76

Say: "O My servants who believe, have Taqwa of your Lord. Good is for those who do good in this world, and Allah's earth is spacious! Only those who are patient shall receive their reward in full, without reckoning.
Al-Quran 39:10 (Al-Zumar)

77

Check whether you are fulfilling the demands of being fearful to Allah or not

Being fearful to Allah means to stop doing all that Allah forbids and doing all that Allah orders to do.

(102. O you who believe! Have Taqwa of Allah as is His due, and die not except as (true) Muslims.)
Al-Quran 3:102 (Aal- Imran)
78

SOLUTION
79

Few key things to do if you want your supplications to be answered and your problems to be solved
1. Fear Allah (that is to abstain from what Allah has forbidden and do all
that Allah wants you to do)

And for those who fear Allah, He (ever) prepares a way out
Al-Quran 65:2 (Al-Talaq)

And for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy.
Al-Quran 65:4 (Al-Talaq)

80

2. Have full Trust in Allah (not to believe in any other
than Allah to be a solver of the problems)

And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him.
Al-Quran 65:3 (Al-Talaq)

81

And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then surely I am very near; I answer the prayer of the supplicant when he calls on Me, so they should answer My call and believe/trust in Me that they may walk in the right way.
Al-Quran 2:186 (Al-Baqarah)

82

3. Seek assistance through patience and prayer

(153. O you who believe! Seek help through patience and As-Salah (the prayer). Truly, Allah is with As-Sabirin (the patient). Al-Quran 2:153 (Al- Baqarah)

4. Make duaa and keep asking Allah for forgiveness.
