REAL ESTATE STAGING encompasses both preparing and showcasing the home for sale. Preparing the home involves updating, repairing, de-cluttering and cleaning; while showcasing is the process of arranging furniture, accessories, art and lighting. Real estate staging benefits both buyer and seller. Staging shows buyers the property’s true potential. Buyers often do not have the funds to purchase a home and pay more money to address repair costs, painting and updating. Buyers appreciate the benefits of purchasing a professionally staged property and view the home as well-maintained. Staging benefits Sellers in that their home presents and shows better than competing houses for sale. Staged properties will sell faster when compared with houses that have not been staged. From the date of the listing until the date of closing, home staging shortens the time frame even in a slow market. In addition, Buyer’s agents know that staged homes are “move-in ready” and prefer to show these properties. This increased traffic can increase the number of offers and selling price in a hot market. Finally, staged homes look better in the photos on the MLS and other internet sites.

What do you love about your work: The people. My clients become my friends. Your business philosophy: To invest my clients’ money as I would invest mine or my children’s. Greatest accomplishment: Being the first Waddell & Reed Representative to maintain 250 million of clients’ money under management & being inducted to Waddell & Reed’s Hall of Fame. What have you learned: I have learned that giving good finanical advice can help people turn their dreams into goals that can be reached.
