Calculation of amplitude of roll and rolling period
Lett. Sheet 1 Sheets 4

1. Introduction. The present calculation has been carried out in accordance with the Resolution .749 (18) Stability Code of Intact Ships of All Types at which IMO Documents are applied, Chapter 3. The amplitude of roll and rolling period determination includes the following states of weight loading the stability of which is controlled in Calculation Stability Check at Large Heeling Angles B616.360060. 020: - Case 1 light ship; - Case 2 - ship with 100% cargo (cuttings) + 100% store; - Case 3 - ship with 100% cargo (cuttings) + 10% store; - Case 4 - ship with 100% cargo (general) + 100% store; - Case 5 - ship with 100% cargo (general) + 10% store; - Case 6 - ship in ballast with 100% store; - Case 7 ship in ballast with 10% store; The amplitude of roll of the ship to be determined according to the following formula: 1r = 109 k X1 X2 rS , where k coefficient, taken into consideration the sharp bilge influence. Value of k is assumed as 0,7. 1 dimensionless factor, determined according to Table 3.2.2.3-1 depending on ratio of breadth to draft. 2 - dimensionless factor, determined according to Table 3.2.2.3-2 depending on ships block coefficient b r parameter determined according to formula r=0.73 +/- 0.6 * (Zg d)/d . S - dimensionless factor, determined according to Table 3.2.2.3-4 depending on rolling period , which is calculated according to formula T=2cB/ h where
