Remembering

The tunnel of remembering back through time, faces, out of focus, and softened by years. So many memories, most of them good, of us and our youth. Growing up together, facing the unknown, our rst broken hearts, shared in one another, rst cars, rst kisses. Not much was a secret back then young adults, ready to take on the world. Goodbyes were said and promises were made to stay in touch, but life moved on and so did we. Losing touch with those who shaped us, molded us into who we have become. With a reunion set in time, the sight of shock was evidence of the passage of years echoes on classmates faces. But then, as the old days are fondly recalled, the lines of time seem to slip away, and there are the faces from our youth once more. Laughter lls the room and we watch as we reconnect at ease. Remember when? Do you remember? So many conversations start with these simple words. The evening winds simmer down and we climb back into our middle aged skin. Smiling as we once again separate into our own lives, happy to have become the class of 1973 one again.
