Definitions

COMPANY !"! #!C#$%TM!NT is the recruitment process held &y any recruiting company without see'ing facilitation of the university. C#$C%A DAT! is the cut(off date indicated in every placement process notice. This date will &e used for determining eligi&ility of a particular student for that particular process. D!)A##M!NT is the process which leads to a student &eing ta'en out of placement process. This may &e caused &y *Performance +ap, and-or *Misconduct, as defined elsewhere in this document.

!#0 must &e reported to DC0. • • . Non(Core Company3 The Company that is coming for Campus #ecruitment &elongs to a different area in comparison to what the student is perusing his degree in. Non(Core Profile3 0tudent getting a /o& offer not(matching with his program of 0tudies.. 1O) O.• P!P or Professional !nhancement Program are the various credited-non( credited inputs given to students &y ovely Professional $niversity to improve their placement preparedness. Pre(placement offer or a /o& offer made to a student during the course of a university facilitated internship-training.or an On(1o& Training will also &e treated as a valid offer in case of acceptance of the same &y the student. All %ND!P!ND!NT O.!# is classified as one of the following3 Company Type Core Company Core Company Non 4Core Company Non(Core Company Profile Type Core Profile Non(Core Profile Core Profile Non(Core Profile Offer Type Matching offer Non(Matching offer Matching offer Non(Matching offer. Core Profile3 0tudent getting a /o& offer matching with his program of 0tudies.!# means final selection in a company whose result may &e declared either during the process orally or &y way of a su&se2uent communication either made directly to student or mediated through university.. The oral communication shall invaria&ly &e followed up in writing. %ND!P!ND!NT O.!# is a /o& offer secured &y a student using independent efforts without involvement-facilitation of the university.or a 0tudent who is sitting in a placement drive3 • Core Company3 The Company that is coming for Campus #ecruitment is &elongs to the same area in which the 0tudent is perusing his degree. • • • • M%0COND$CT is any act on part of student which may &e covered under one or more of the following3 5. 1O) O..6 5..7 Mis&ehavior with any company officials or university officials involved in the process Diso&edience of any directions or general instructions .

Profile-company matches with his-her programme of studies. Not following the prescri&ed norms of dressingA decorum etc during or after the process. The misuse-violations of the same would invite separate action which would &e circulated at appropriate time.: %nteracting with company officials unless otherwise permitted !sta&lishing contact with company officials.6 7 • O1T or On 1o& Training is a special dispensation created to facilitate the /oining of studentsA upon their selectionA with companies at any stage during final semester.8 5.S Is' Off#r Co$(i'io$s for Si''i$) i$ 'h# S#co$( Co%p!$ Matching offer 6.6 @ 5.6 6 5.5. 69.DA B %N is a placement process which has &een thrown open to all eligi&le students who may or may not have registered for placement assistance. CON0!E$!NC!0 O.6 Type of Mista'e Committed %n case a student registers for a drive and does not report at time and place stipulated for drive or leaves the process at any su&se2uent stage other than after pre(placement tal'A he will &e fined and PenaltyConse2uence • #s 6A@@@ .!# is a /o& offer made to the student as a follow up or during the course of an internship-training-pro/ect etc done &y the student with a company. This will &e &inding for students. • D-Th# Polic MISCLLANEOUS • A 0tudent can participate in any num&er of placement drives till he-she gets a /o& offer. 0P!C%A D%0P!N0AT%ON is the over(riding power to modify any of the governing conditions of this policy 6:. 0r No.S Is' Off#r Non(Matching offer Co$(i'io$s for Si''i$) i$ 'h# S#co$( Co%p!$ Profile matches with his-her programme of studies 68. 0imilarlyA the companies may also prescri&e score(lines of few &enchmar'ing tests li'e AMCAT etc for assessing the students or prescri&e their own short(listing methodology. NOT #!PO#T%N+ AT TC! D#%"! • 0tudents are re2uired to register at placement portal for a drive only after convincing themselves a&out the nature of /o& profileA location and other factors etc.PROFILE FOC. P#!(P AC!M!NT O. This will &e &inding to the students.. At times company-university may prescri&e certain more criteria other than eligi&ility etc to create a filter for assessing the students. 8.

8 %n case a student who has already &een fined earlier and commits the same offence againA he will &e re2uired to pay a higher penalty failing which he will &e not &e allowed to ta'e part in any fresh-pending processes till he deposits penalty amount Any student who has &een fined 7 times on account of this is lia&le to &e de&arred from placement process. 7A:@@ Permanently de&arred. A student who gets an offer has to communicate acceptance in prescri&ed Performa within 8 clear days from the time offer was made to him-her whether directly &y the company or through Department of Placements.. ACCEPTANCE OF OFFER. • Non serious students must not register for a drive. • .7 8. Cowever in case a student fails to register for : drives where he-she was eligi&le and where at least 7 of the processes matched with his profileA then it may &e ta'en as a sign of his-her non(seriousness towards placement activities and follow up action including de&arment may &e ta'en after see'ing eFplanation. 8. #s. Thus in ordinary circumstancesA after a student gets an offer through a process facilitated &y the $niversityA he-she cannot ta'e part in any other campus recruitment process and is eFpected to /oin the company for which he-she got an offer through university. OFFERS3 • • The university shall follow the principle of *O$# s'&(#$'9 O$# off#r.will not &e allowed to ta'e part in any fresh-pending processes till he deposits penalty amount.

NON ACCEPTANCE OF OFFER3 A student who does not accept the offer has to communicate reasons for non(acceptance within 8 clear days from the time offer was made to him-her whether directly &y the company or through Department of Placements. Thus following provisions are there to attend to &oth the concerns. %n case reasons for non(acceptance are not found satisfactoryA the university shall ta'e a decision whether to allow the student to ta'e further part in any placement process= andA if yesA the conditions may &e imposed on the student. • • • • SECOND OFFER The university recogni?es the fact that *first offer. %n case student does not communicate as per provisions of 0.S3 After securing a *MATCC%N+ O.

A 0tudent can avail any num&er of offers through 1o& . All offers and short listings till now or in pipeline would stand cancelled. %n case no communication is receivedA the one with higher pac'age will &e considered and the other offer shall &e deemed to have &een surrendered. %n case of any peculiar situation arising out of unforeseen contingencies li'e 7 results &eing declared on same day etcA the D0C0 may have to ta'e a &alanced view on case to case &asis and on the facts and merits of the case. As university has to ensure continued relationships with companiesA it is essential to ensure that students indeed report to /oin at the company where they were offered /o& &y a university facilitated process.ENCES OF NOT JOININ8 • • • • • All students who have secured an offer are eFpected to /oin the company invaria&ly. The list of such coordinators will &e released on 2<'h F#"r&!r 2 2014. Any decision ta'en under this clause will not &e treated as precedence for any future analogies. JOININ8 AND REPORTIN8 !$( CONSE=. The onus of conveying his-her option in time lies on students.airsA Dal'(ins and from any other source which are not initiated &y Department of Placements &ut he-she must intimate the Department of Placements a&out the same so that in case there is any verification-en2uiry from the companyA Department of Placements is in a position to answer the same. S'&(#$' Coor(i$!'or 4 0tudent Placement Coordinator whose performance is found to &e eFcellent in coordinating the drives will &e eligi&le for one eFtra offer as a to'en of appreciation. The university shall not verify the credentials of any such student who does not intimate Department of Placements a&out his-her /o& offers secured independently. The moment a student has got first offerA he-she will not &e allowed to ta'e part in any new-incomplete process eFcept in the event of a process falling under point 67 and 68 a&ove su&/ect to conditions prescri&ed in point 69 and 6:.• SCENARIO T. %n order to ensure an element of seriousness amongst studentsA they are re2uired to deposit a .S OFFER IN :AND 3 %f he gets an offer from a second company where he was shortlisted prior to getting first offerA the student will have the option to choose within 57 hours one /o& from among any of the two offers.O. ONE PREVIO. No re2uest on this count shall &e entertained.
