UR, in living room, door opens to a roofless porch. R: staircase, an alleyway leads up to street level, which runs across stage between the two rooms of apt. Two layers of gauze: one, with windows, the other, suggesting railroad tracks. Props Stella fans herself with a palm-leaf fan, and eats chocolate from a paper bag. She is reading a movie magazine. Negro woman fans herself with a palm-leaf fan. Eunice eats peanuts, and reads a Confessions magazine. Costumes
