I ask that you remember in prayer Pat Siddall and Mary Cook, both of whom have been living in Ashland for some time now. They are both doing well and miss being able to be at Mass with us, so I assure them of our prayerful remembrance of them. Continue to pray for Freda Brazis, Margie Keep, Ron Guidetti, Mary Matthews, Joan Carlson, Dick Rogers, and Eleanor Roe. Louise Bauer had several surgeries and is recuperating. Lois Yehlik (who was able to join us for Mass last weekend) is persevering through her chemo treatments. Mickey Stitt had knee surgery this past week but we expect her back at the organ next weekend (just kidding). We lift up all of these to the Lord along with anyone else from our parish in need of the Lord’s healing. Our parishioners, George & Kathleen Levanoff, will be selling some wonderful things at the Craft Show in the Gathering Room that can be used as Christmas gifts for loved ones or even for yourself. And here’s what’s really great about this: any proceeds made from the sale of these items goes to our outreach fund! That’s a really generous act on their part so please thank them and take a good look at what they offer. This weekend we will pass out a questionnaire for you (18 and older) to fill out before Mass. It asks questions about prayer. We hope to get a better sense of how you pray and what you find to be helpful tools for prayer. It is an anonymous survey so your honest answers would be appreciated. This tool will be used to help me offer a presentation on a prayer called the “Liturgy of the Hours” that I would like to introduce in the parish. To that end, I will be offering a presentation on this topic during the adult education session between the two Sunday Masses this weekend and the following. I will offer the same presentation this Thursday and Friday evening at 7:00pm in the church meeting room. I believe you’ll find this prayer very helpful so please join us, especially if you attend daily Mass or eucharistic devotions on Wednesdays.

CCHD was founded to end the cycle of poverty throughout America by funding organizations that help individuals help themselves. With a tradition of improving education, housing, and community economic development, CCHD continues to make a positive impact in communities nationwide. Defend human dignity. Take poverty off the map. Please give to the CCHD Collection. NO PSR on December 1, 2013 The weekend after Thanksgiving has traditionally been a day off to allow our Catechists to visit with family.

Start your Holiday Shopping Early at the SVDP Craft Show! Please join in this great opportunity to pick out some great gifts for your loved ones while donating to SVDP at the same time! Kathleen Levanoff has graciously provided this chance to pick up some unique items and help families in need at the same time. The show takes place this weekend in the Gathering Room! Please be generous! Every penny goes to the Poor Box. Red Cross Needs Local Volunteers! The Red Cross is looking for volunteers each blood drive at St. Stephen to spend a few hours in the Canteen helping with refreshments. If you are interested please contact Donna Bourdess at 419-945-2283. Your help will be greatly appreciated. What will it be like when Christ judges us and the whole world? Even Christ cannot help someone who does not want to know anything about love; such a person judges himself. Because Jesus Christ is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life: (Jn 14:6) he will show what is of lasting value in God’s sight and what is not. Held up to the standard of his life, the full truth about all people, things, thoughts, and events will come to light.
