Expected Learning Objectives By the end of Geology 2300 students will be able to do the following: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Identify, measure, and interpret structures Plot structural data on a map Interpret structural features from a geological map and a satellite image Use stereonets and maps to convey and interpret structural data Construct geological cross-sections from geological maps Describe the types of structures that are typical of different tectonic settings

Note that lab work in this course will require a one-day weekend field trip in NYC and an overnight weekend trip in Upstate New York.
