Project Information Description and history of site: 4472 W. Papin and 904-920 S. Taylor are adjacent parcels that are currently vacant. It was previously a warehouse structure and a former bakery site. Current and future zoning: The space is currently zoned F (Neighborhood Commercial District). No zoning change is needed. Proposed Project: Taylor-Papin, LLC has a contract on purchasing the property. They plan to construct a 4-story hotel that will consist of 107 hotel suites, a breakfast bar, patio, fitness room, and an indoor swimming pool. It will be an extended-stay hotel. Each room will contain a microwave, dishwasher, kitchen sink, and refrigerator. The only other extended stay option in the area is the Residence Inn at Jefferson and I-64. The hotel’s primary customer base will be patients and family members of the medical center. The hotel entrance is on the north side of the building facing I-64. The parking lot entrance is on the north side of the building along Taylor Ave. Parking: The parking lot will contain 111 parking spaces. The parking lot frontage along Chouteau Ave will consist of landscaping that will conceal the parking lot from the street.
