Democritus What experiments did he perform, if any?

Democritus developed a new theory of matter based on reasoning rather than science, therefore he is not known for his experimental findings. What theory or discovery did he make a when?

He claimed that everything is made up of atoms and that atoms are indestructible and indivisible. He theorized that atoms were specific to the material they made up. He developed his ideas of the atom around 460 B.C. He failed to explain chemical behavior, however. What was his atomic model called? What did it look like? The Democritus model was a sold round sphere made up of no sub-atomic particles.

John Dalton What experiments did he perform, if any? Dalton formulated many hypothesis and theories to explain his observations. For example, he questioned who water and air particles occupied the same space at the same time, while solid particles could not. However, he mainly proved his ideas based off theory rather than experimental data. What theory or discovery did he make a when?

Dalton proposed that all elements are composed of tiny indivisible particles called atoms, atoms of the same element are identical and atoms of any one element are different from those of

any other element, atoms of different elements can physically mix together or can be chemically combined in simple whole-number ratios to form compounds, and that chemical reactions occur when atoms are separated, joined, or arranged. He formed the first useful atomic theory of matter around 1803. What was his atomic model called? What did it look like? Daltons billiard ball model consisted of a solid sphere similar to that of a billiard ball.

Henry Moseley What experiments did he perform, if any?

Moseley performed many experiments to analyze and measure the wavelengths of x-rays and apply the x-ray spectra to the study of the atomic structure. He found that certain lines in the X-ray spectrum of each element moved the same amount each time you increased the atomic number by one.
What theory or discovery did he make a when? Moseley ultimately discovered the atomic number for elements. By observing the properties of xrays from a dozen consecutive elements in the periodic table, the discovered that the wavelengths became shorted as the atomic weight increased and that the increase was constant. He suggested that the change must be caused by something in the atom, and that the something was a positive charge within the nucleus, called the proton. He discovered this in 1913.

What was his atomic model called? What did it look like? Moseley did not construct an atomic model of his own. LINDSAY DONT KNOW WHAT TO PUT HERE WITHOUT ONE.
