Backing Up the E82/E72 Soft Counter

1. The chart provides possible combinations of "Main controller PCB (MC PCB)," "Counter memory PCB (EEPROM)," and "Serial number PCB (SN PCB)," while omitting repeated combinations. Main controller PCB (MC PCB): DEF (=A), NEW (=O), USED (=X, Y) (The notation in parentheses indicates the serial number retained by the MC PCB.) Counter memory PCB (EEPROM): DEF (=A), NEW (=O), USED (=X, Y) (The notation in parentheses indicates the serial number retained by the counter memory PCB (EEPROM).) Serial number PCB (SN PCB): DEF (=A), NEW (=B) (The notation in parentheses indicates the serial number retained by the SN PCB.) 2. A description in blue in the chart indicates proper servicing activity (combination). A description in red, on the other hand, indicates servicing activity (combination) that illegally changes a counter reading. 3. The following is a list of the error codes that have been newly added in conjunction with the introduction of soft counters: E245: excess write operations to counter memory PCB (EEPROM; 1,500,000 operations max.) E246: error writing operation to counter memory PCB (EEPROM) E247: 3-counter mismatch (2 areas of SRAM and 1 area of counter memory PCB (EEPROM)) E354: mismatch of serial number of SN PCB and serial numbers of MC PCB (SRAM) and counter memory PCB (EEPROM) absence of serial number input to MC PCB (SRAM) and counter memory PCB (EEPROM) E355: mismatch of 3 serial numbers of SN PCB, MC PCB (SRAM), and counter memory PCB (EEPROM) E350: SN PCB fault Counter memory PCB EEPROM (w/socket and 1 screw) SN PCB (Serial No.)
