ZENIAN LEAGUE

THE ALLIANCE OF CONVENIENCE


The major powers of the Zenian League are the Dindrenzi Federation, the Directorate and the Relthoza. In addition, several smaller factions have joined the cause, eager to seize whatever profit and territory they can as Satellite Charters dominance of the known galaxy crumbles. These include the BaKash Raiders, the Illosian race, the Kedorian Coalition and the VoNar vassals, as well as the elite of the Dindrenzi Federation - the Rense System Navy - and the Works Raptor PMC with its fundamental devotion to the advancement of military technology. Models from the Zenian League can be formed into two types of combined fleet; either League Fleets or Support Fleets. League Fleets represent the military might of one of the three major powers, supplemented with vessels from other allied factions. Whilst its component parts may have radically different goals and motives, the founding of the Zenian League has united these independent factions to a single purpose. The will topple the decaying Satellite Charter, and the withered empires which prop it up, and they are fully committed to fighting together to achieve this end. ONE race, from either the Dindrenzi Federation, the Directorate or the Relthoza, MUST be designated as the League Fleets Core Fleet. At least 60% of the Maximum Fleet Value MUST be chosen from models in the Core Fleet, and any Minimum Squadron Restrictions MUST be fulfilled with Squadrons in the Core Fleet. Additionally HALF of both the Small and the Medium models in the fleet MUST be from the Core Fleet. Up to 40% of the Maximum Fleet Value CAN then be spent on models from any of the other major powers and small factions within the Zenian League. A League Fleet uses the Fleet Tactics Bonus and Command Distance of its Core Fleet. A League Fleet can spend up to 50% of its points on Small models and up to 50% of its points on Medium models. It can spend up to 50% of its points on Battleships, up to 30% of its points on Dreadnoughts and up to 50% on Carriers (excluding Wings).

Zenian League Support Fleets represent the vessels of the smaller factions grouping into brutally efficient combined formations. These Fleets, often under the ruthless command of an RSN Task Force Group, will launch raids at strategic targets deep within enemy territory, where the danger is greatest, but the rewards are the highest. Models in a Zenian Support Fleet are chosen from any of the small factions in the Zenian League. Models CANNOT be chosen from any of the major powers. Any Minimum Squadron Restrictions MUST be fulfilled, but not necessarily with models from the same small faction. These Restrictions CAN be fulfilled with Civilian and/or Marauder models. A Zenian Support Fleet can spend up to 50% of its points on Small models and up to 50% of its points on Medium models. It can spend up to 40% of its points on Battleships, up to 40% on Dreadnoughts, up to 40% on Carriers (excluding Wings) and up to 40% on Leviathans. A Zenian Support Fleet has a Fleet Tactics Bonus of +2, and the models within it have a Command Distance of 6. Important Note: Although League and Support Fleets may be comprised of models from several races and factions, a single Squadron CANNOT contain models from more than one race or faction. For example, a Squadron could not contain both Dindrenzi Fury Class Cruisers and Relthoza Scarab Class Heavy Cruisers. The only exceptions to this are that Escort Squadrons CAN be attached to a Large/Massive model from a different race or faction, and Flight Tokens may launch from and land on ANY suitable Carrier model in the same Fleet, regardless of race or faction.
