COOPER RIVER MARINA

Conveniently located two miles north of the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge and 15 minutes from historic downtown Charleston, the Cooper River Marina is a great facility for recreational and transient boaters. Skimming the Surface, by Erin Eckman
Acrylic 24 x 18

AbOUT ErIN EcKmaN:

Erin Eckman was born on the Washington state coast, grew up in New England, ventured south in her teens, and has been a Charleston, SC resident with her family for more than a decade. A self-taught artist, Erin has enjoyed collaborating with many local artists, galleries, and groups on a variety of projects. My artwork is often inspired by history, science, literature, and everyday experience. Im fascinated by how we humans perceive ourselves and the world around us, how a slight shift in perspective can reveal something entirely new or even change reality. I blend memory, symbolism, and free association to explore the passage of time, the stories we tell, the curiosity that drives human nature, and our struggle to comprehend them all. The mediums I use are chosen for their versatility. Using a variety of tools in different ways enables me to convey the characteristics and nuances of my subjects. To see more of Erin Eckmans work, visit erineckman.com. Erin can be contacted for art inquiries or commissions at (843) 817-3035, or erin@erineckman.com.

Take a break from the waves, and stop in at the Cooper River Marina for a tasty treat.

COVER ART & PHOTOGRAPHY: The Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission features a local artists work on the cover of each Quarterly Program Guide. If you are an artist and would like to submit digital files, slides, or photos of your artwork, please send them via regular mail (attn: Marketing - Cover Art) and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for their return. Artwork is also viewed via email at nlau@ccprc.com. We do not pay for cover artwork, but we do publish a short bio of the artist with information on how he/she can be contacted. The selected artist also receives a Gold Pass, which provides vehicular entry into seven Charleston County Parks for an entire year.
Printed on Recycled Paper. We encourage the recycling of this publication... either to a friend or to your recycling center. Thank you.
