Nic Vaughn Malcom Campbell August 21, 2013 Dear Malcom It is pleasure to meet your acquaintance, you seem

to be a cool teacher and I believe I will have lots of fun in your class. My name is Nicholas Vaughn, but I mostly go by Nic, which is my nickname I came up for myself when I was in kindergarten. I was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and grew up in Wake Forest, North Carolina which is about fifteen minutes away. Wake Forest is a small town and is fast growing, it is where Wake Forest University was founded and originally located. My parents are Keith and Teresa Vaughn and they are both from Florida originally and met at while attending college at Stetson University. My parents moved to North Carolina in 1991, right after my dad graduated from seminary. My father, Keith, is in ministry and is currently serving as the associate pastor at Westwood Baptist church in Cary, North Carolina. He has just recently graduated from Campbell University with his Doctorate in Ministry. My mother, Teresa, works for a company located in Raleigh, North Carolina called Raleigh MRI. She has worked at Raleigh MRI since my parents moved to North Carolina. I also have a younger brother named Josh. He is now an entering freshman at the high school that I attended. He is three years younger than me but we are four years apart in age. I myself am currently dating my high school sweetheart as well, her name is Em Ramser. We met during our senior year and started dating on May 24 near the end of our senior year. She is going to be attending college at Salem College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. There she will be majoring in English and in creative writing and also pursuing a minor in Spanish. Now a little more about myself, to be honest Im not the best writer in the world or that much of an avid reader. My girlfriend helped me stay on track and do my work in my English four class in high school senior year, because I get a little scattered brain at times. During my years in high school I was in Army JROTC, which is kind of like the ROTC program here except you dont get officer status. This ultimately has led me to my current life goal, which is to graduate here with an Engineering degree and also ROTC so that I can become an officer in the Engineering Corps for the U.S. Army. I am a devoted Beatles fan. I have every record, song and albums they released. My favorite of the Beatles is a bit of a tie between Paul McCartney and George Harrison. Besides the Beatles I mostly stay true to the classic rock genre, the newer stuff just never really appealed to me that much. I also know how to play the bass guitar, though I am not that very good due to only having eight lessons. I hope to be good enough at some point so that I can play the bass for all the Beatles songs and know them by heart. I am also an avid video game player, my all-time favorite video game is minecraft. I play almost any genera from rpgs to first person shooters.
