What factors made Byzantine culture unique?
Architecture Byzantine architecture had a unique appearance. Domes were common, especially on churches. Literature Byzantine scholars preserved many original manuscripts from Greek and Roman times. Law Justinian’s Code organized a jumble of Roman law into a new system, one that gave great power to the emperor.
