It is strictly prohibited to shoot eyes or other parts of body with the laser$ also a oid shooting laser at any ob"ects% with strong reflecti e surfaces. Due to electromagnetic radiation interference to other e&uipment and de ices! please don%t use the meter in a plane or around medical e&uipment! and don%t use it in inflammable! e'plosi e en ironments. Discarded batteries or meter de ices should not be processed "ust li#e household garbage! please handle them in line with related law and regulations.  Installation and replacement of battery

• Open the battery door on the back of device, and place battery according to correct polarity, then close the battery door. • Only 1.5 V AAA alkaline batteries are to be applied to the meter. • If device is not being used for a long time, please take out the batteries to avoid battery corrosion to meter body.

Start and shut off the meter
hen off, press key, instrument and laser get starting simultaneously and into stand by for measurement.

hen already on, hold do!n key for " seconds to turn the device off. #he instrument !ill automatically shut off if there has been no operation for 15$ seconds.

Measurement benchmar# setting

%ress key to enter into setting of s!itching bet!een front benchmark and end benchmark. )ystem usually takes end benchmark as default.

Measurement for distance! area! olume$ Pythagorean proposition indirect measurement! adding . subtracting

%ress key under measuring mode, the laser !ill be emitted, measuring location. *e+press key for single measurement of distance , then the measured results !ill sho! on main display.

Single Measurement/

key under measuring mode to enter into continuous measurement state, and ma-imum and minimum ,ong press measurement results in the process of continuous measurement !ill display on the screen. #he main display screen indicates the measured result, press key to e-it continuous measurement state.

0ontinuous Measurement/

%ress key and you !ill see on the display screen, that is *ectangle !ith one edge flashing. .omplete the follo!ing operations according to screen tips& %ress key to measure the first edge/length0. %ress key to measure the second edge/!idth0. Area !ill be calculated automatically by the meter, and the results sho!ed on main display screen. %ress key to remove previous measured result and get ready for the ne-t measurement.

1ouble press key and you !ill see , on the display screen, that is cube !ith one edge flashing. .omplete the follo!ing operations according to tips& %ress key to measure the first edge/length0. %ress key to measure the second edge/!idth0. %ress key to measure the third edge/height0. Volume !ill be calculated automatically by the meter, and the results sho!ed on main display screen. %ress key to remove previous measured result and get ready for the ne-t measurement.

-olumetric Measurement/

#here are three kinds of pre+designed measuring modes to get unilateral distance of triangle by !ays of %ythagorean proposition. #his is convenient for users to do indirect measuring in certain comple- environments. %ress key to make mode selection& 1) %ress key and you !ill see on the display screen, that is a triangle !ith hypotenuse flashing. %ress key to firstly measure the length /a0 of dotted line hypotenuse according to screen prompt %ress key to measure the length/b0 of the dotted line right side ,ength /-0 of the solid line right side !ill be calculated automatically by the meter.

Pythagorean proposition indirect measurement/

key and you !ill see on the display screen, that is a triangle !ith vertical leg flashing. %ress key to firstly measure the length /a0 of dotted line right side according to screen prompt %ress key to measure the length /b0 of the other dotted line right side ,ength/-0 of the solid line hypotenuse !ill be calculated automatically by the meter.

key " times and you !ill see on the display screen, that is a triangle !ith hypotenuse flashing. %ress key to firstly measure the length /a0 of dotted line hypotenuse according to screen prompt %ress key to measure the length/b0 of dotted line hypotenuse /sho!n as in the figure0 %ress key to measure the length/c0of another dotted line hypotenuse /sho!n as in the figure0 ,ength /-0 of the solid line right side !ill be calculated automatically by the meter.

2nder %ythagorean proposition measurement mode, length of right side must be shorter than hypotenuse length so that instrument can make out calculation, other!ise the instrument !ill display an error signal. 2nder %ythagorean proposition mode, to ensure the accuracy of measurement, it must be measured from the same starting point !ith a measuring order of first hypotenuse, and then the right side.

(dd (nd Subtract Measurement/

)ingle distance measurement can be done through adding3subtracting to get accumulated add or subtract operations4 %ress key, and 565 appears on main measurement screen. #hen enter into accumulated adding measurement mode, accumulative value of previous measured value and the very measurement results !ill be displayed on the screen. %ress key, and 5+5 appears on main measurement screen. #hen enter into accumulated subtracting measurement mode, !here the differences bet!een previous measured values and the ne! measurement values !ill be displayed on the screen.

Storage and ,rowse

2nder measuring mode, as the resulting data is effective, hold do!n the !ill be automatically stored into the instrument memory stick. #he unit has a ma-imum storage volume of "$ units.

=ote& #here !ill be a bit of greater differences of measurement results in harsh environment, such as strong sunlight, e-cessive temperature fluctuations, !eak reflective surface, lo! battery. As to this, target reflection board as au-iliary !ill assist you to get a better result.

Instrument maintenance:
#he meter should not be stored in high temperature and strong humidity environment for long+term4 if unit is not being used for a long time, please take out the battery and place the meter in the allocated potable bag and store in cool and dry place. %lease keep the device surface cleaning. et soft cloth is applied to clean dust, but corrosive cleaning liCuids are never allo!ed to be used for meter maintenance. ,aser output !indo! and its focus lens can be maintained according to maintenance procedures for optical device.
