It took him a single night journey to Heavens from Mecca. He rode the white
beast, probably similar to a horse. The same beast was used by other prophets
before him, including Abrahim (Ibrahim). Angel Gabriel accompanied Prophet
Muhammad(PBUH)duringthejourney.
