Marche 1961: Ulderico and Quinto Pistolesi

create the company ‘Principe di Bologna’.

Early 1980's: representing the second generation.

Rocco, Eusebio and their cousin Donatello
Pistolesi join the company; energy is projected
towards the future.
1991: inspired by his strong passion for footwear,
Rocco designs his first collection which carries
his name.

Like a shoemaker in an experimental workshop,

he concentrates on historical manufacturing
processes such as Sol California, Ideal, San
Crispino, Tubolare and Goodyear. These
technical procedures act together with an
exquisite choice of leathers, accurately sought
out by Rocco himself.

Over the years, the Company has grown

considerably, bringing Rocco P. to become a
successful brand for both Women and Men.
PRODUCT PHILOSOPHY

The policy of Principe di Bologna is not to exceed

the daily production beyond 200 pairs, considering
that all components are produced and assembled
within the factory itself.

A product of high quality, enhanced by traditional

craftsmanship but with a modern, innovative style.
“Italian Handcraft Product – made in Torre San
Patrizio” : hand made in Italy, precisely where the
factory is located. This is how Rocco P. wants to
distinguish all his products.

Each piece is unique, characterized by those minor

differences which are typical of handmade
processes, some of which require up to 40 different
steps before the product is finished.
In each hand made piece you may perceive the
essence of the person who worked on it, and this is
what makes it so special; through our hands we
design, we create, we work,....
MOOD

The Rocco P. Collections are recognizable from the

clean cuts and the simple but yet sophisticated
designs. A style which mingles traditional
constructions and contemporary shapes, all enriched
by original materials.

Soft, prestigious skins intensify the flexibility of the

shoe and give the product an elegant, natural
aspect.

“The reason for my choice of using natural skins -

which require a long and exclusively manual process
to be refined – is due to the fact that I cherish and
support the ‘Made in Italy’ product. I am aware and
convinced that certain products can only be made in
Italian workshops, where skilful hands make each
item unique, and not imitable.”

Boots... lace-ups...high heels... loafers.... luxury

travel sets.... revised ‘60’s ankle boots....and
recently also handbags... these are Rocco P.
products, which reflect a strong personality; original
but not eccentric, passionate and stylish.
DESIGNER
Rocco is born in the Marche Region in 1962.

After high school, he attends the “Ars Sutoria” Academy, following his passion for drawing.
In the early eighties he joins the family business together with his brother Eusebio, a few years younger
but incomparable partner of Rocco in all his ventures, and currently Sales Manager of the Company.

In 1991 he creates the first Rocco P. Collection, expression of his strong personality and artistic
sensitivity.
His distinct sense of fashion and his natural curiosity nourish his creative evolution and like most artists
he is often alone with himself, taking notes on one of his many notebooks.

“Each Collection comes from my personal history, my origins: I am a craftsman and always will be one”.
June 2004: Passionate about art in all its forms, Rocco decides to produce a short film entitled
“I Can Feel Your Heart Beat”.

In 2004 Rocco gathers some international emerging

talents and presents the short movie “I Can Feel
Your Heart Beat”.

Featuring photographer and film director Josè

Aragòn, the Nod Dance Company, and Art Director I can feel your heart beat

Monica Alesina, this project is contained in a DVD

which includes a CD of Nicole Renaud, a French
soprano with a romantic style.

In this work the Nod Dance Company emphasizes

the strong physical aspect of the body, where
frenetic movements merge harmoniously,
surrounded by kinetic poetry.
Rocco P. looks at this project with a strong sense of
research, through a new lens which captures the
body movement as it blends with dance and music.

As a result of this experience Rocco imagines a

different collection, stronger and more
communicative: “I Can Feel Your Heart Beat” has
been since then, a very successful line.
HOME GALLERY
Milan, November 2004: Rocco opens his first art exhibit
in his showroom; “Home Gallery Act I”. The idea is to
host emerging artists. The invitation is a key, to
symbolize the opening of the doors to creativity and its
supporters. We are now looking forward to Act III.

SHOW ROOM
The Rocco P. Showroom is in the Porta Genova neighbourhood, one of the liveliest in town. It is a 300sq mt
open space on two floors; a modern bright white box, situated in an old re-modeled building. This is where
the Collections Rocco P. and ICFYHB are showed, and not only.
We rent it for shootings, parties, presentations etc.
