Process: I created a new logo in Illustrator. I finally was able to type on the path of the wave which added an element of flow. I was then able to place that exact logo into my letter head in the top right hand corner. I added a box and changed it to look like a wave and incorporate the correct colors. I also placed that same logo on the business card. I wanted to keep everything consistent and clean. To create the business card, I used the rectangle tool and made sure the border was prominent with a dark color.

Description: Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography. Incorporate basic InDesign skills to improve basic flier layout. Retrieve image and logo from links on this page. Create a project folder with image, logo and InDesign document to keep links intact. Date: October 3, 2013 Process: This was the first time I have worked with InDesign. I was able to learn a variety of techniques while working on this project. I knew right from the start that I wanted to create repetition. I did that as a I created the two lines on the left hand side and bottom of the flier. These lines also created flow that draws the eyes attention to the center of the page. To create those lines I just used the rectangle tool and filled in with black. I learned how to better insert text and align it all. In order for the text to not be squished against the edge I had to create 2 boxes. Inserting an image can sometimes be hard but I learned the power of the shift and command buttons so the images are not pixily. I tried to create contrast with the different fonts and the black background. Top 3 things learned: 1) I learned how to place text within a text box without getting close to the edge 2) I learned how to fill shapes with color 3) I learned how to use the guides to make sure everything was aligned. Program(s) / Tools used: Adobe InDesign Title Font Name & Category: Minion Pro with Fill- Decorative (because of fill) and Slab Serif Copy Font Name & Category: Gills Sans- Modern

Description: A two sided brochure. Process: I set up the trifold brochure in Adobe InDesign. I made 3 columns and set up gudders and bleeds. I used black throughout the entire brochure to create a professional look. For the image of a soccer logo I cropped the image in Photoshop I then created a mask to erase the original background. Then I was able to save the image for web, when I inserted the photo it blended well with the already black background. I created the logo in Illustrator using the pen tool and the create shape tool I was able to use the arc shape to create a sun shape. I then added the faded lines to make them look like sun rays.
