100 Days of a New Year 2014!

Introduction

There is something so liberating about a new year. It is a second chance to make the most of this one life you’ve been given. It is an opportunity to tweak the things about yourself and your world that would benefit from new habits or a concentrated effort. There may have been failures in the past, but you are now one year smarter and have more experience. The New Year offers you another chance to grow.

The New Year holds a special place for me. It was in that week between Christmas and New Year’s Day that I first conceived the idea for ListPlanIt. I had just settled my three young children into bed and was preparing for bed myself. I was thinking through the list of things that I needed to get done now that the holiday rush was over. I thought to myself how nice it would be if I could just print out an organized worksheet or template and just fill it out with my own needs and to dos. Now, ListPlanIt has grown to not only hundreds of printable lists and planning pages, but it now also features mobile lists that can be saved to your account and accessed whether at home or out and about, whenever you need them.

This is the 2014 version of the newest member of the 100 Days series: 100 Days of a New Year. It is a complete guide to navigating the start of a new year in order to help you have a year that is full, productive, and happy. After all, this is the only 2014 you’ll ever get. Make the most of it! For more information on the 100 Days series, see 100 Days to Christmas and 100 Days of Summertime.

Happy New Year!
Welcome to “100 Days of a New Year” where you’ll find inspiration to navigate the start of 2014!

This eBook is designed as a journey through those first 100 days, from January 1 to April 10, but you could use this eBook at any time of the year. It includes tips, activities, and reminders geared toward not just getting the year off on the right foot but setting up habits and practices to help you make this your best year yet. Are you ready to get started?

What says a new year has begun more than a list of resolutions? The first New Year Navigation is to gather the willing members of your household. Find a comfy spot in the living room or around the table. Talk about 2013. What happened? What didn’t happen? Create a list of resolutions as a family and then encourage each family member to consider the upcoming year. What events require planning and preparation? What are your dreams and how can you work to achieve them? What habits need reforming and which need practice to develop?
