PROJECTS  Product Taxonomy, Pune Jul’12 - Present The project aimed at developing a utility application to provide classification services for various products used within the organization Union Bank of Switzerland (a major financial firm dealing in niche products such as Equities, Options and others) using languages Java, J2EE, XHTML, jQuery and others, Oracle 11g database and Struts2, Spring 3.0(DI/AOP) framework. Product Taxonomy aims at classifying these products and providing their nomenclature on the basis of predefined rules or properties so that various applications across UBS can identify these products in a similar fashion.  Heuristic solution to Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP), Pune Jan- Jun’12 VRP was formulated to design routes for each vehicle so as to meet the given constraints like minimizing total distance travelled, total time taken and the number of required vehicles. The aim was to find a heuristic based solution to find a near optimal solution for VRP with less computational effort. It was an enriching experience as I worked under the guidance of Dr. Antony Arukia Das from Infosys labs, Bengaluru  Academic Institutional Automation Tool (AIAT), Ghaziabad Sep’08-Jun’09 The project was undertaken to automate the learning process and assist faculty and staff in generation of question papers in academic institutions.
