International Student

The University of La Verne offers competitive merit scholarships to all international freshmen undergraduate applicants that live on campus. There is no separate application process as all applicants are considered upon review of a completed and timely submitted application.

President’s Scholarship ($17,500 Annual Amount)
Applicants who have attained a (B+/A-) 3.5 average in high school/secondary school, 1170 minimum SAT, 26+ ACT, 85+ TOEFL iBT or 7.5+ IELTS. (Renewal policy: Academic good standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA)

Provost’s Scholarship ($15,000 Annual Amount)
Applicants who have attained a (B+/A-) 3.5 average in high school/secondary school, 1100-1169 SAT, 24-25+ ACT, 85+ TOEFL iBT or 7.0+ IELTS. (Renewal policy: Academic good standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA)

Dean’s Scholarship ($10,000 Annual Amount)
Applicants who have attained a (B+/A-) 3.5 average in high school/secondary school, 1050-1099 SAT, 23+ ACT, 85+ TOEFL iBT or 7.0+ IELTS. (Renewal policy: Academic good standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA)

Director’s International Scholarship ($5,000 Annual Amount)
Applicants who have attained a (B) 3.0 average in high school/secondary school or who have completed ELS Language Center’s level 112. (Renewal policy: Academic good standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA)

The University of La Verne offers 12 $20,000 scholarships to incoming freshmen and transfer students with outstanding potential. This scholarship requires a separate application and portfolio review. Two scholarships are available in each of the six areas of fine and visual arts: Art (any combination of painting, sculpture, drawing and mixed media) Communications (video production) Music (voice or instrument) Photography Speech (Debate) Theatre (performance or design)

The University of La Verne offers competitive merit scholarships to all American citizens regardless of country of residency. There is no separate application process as all applicants are considered upon review of a completed and timely submitted application.

Scholarship criteria are based on the competitiveness of a student’s test scores and academics. Americans living abroad may also qualify for need-based aid. Students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered. March 2 is the priority deadline for submitting the FAFSA. La Verne’s FAFSA code is 001216.
