This technique is already popularly known as the Ktwelve schooling. There are thirteen grades that make up the K-twelve system commencing from kindergarten up to twelfth grade, hence the name K (kindergarten) to twelve (12th grade). This type of schooling technique is not just utilized in United States. Even those who are dwelling in United Kingdom, Canada, and other parts of Europe use the K-twelve at the very same time. A mother or father can decide on no matter whether they want their kids to get the K-twelve from a non-public or a public establishment. There are some dad and mom who enroll their dad and mom as early as 4 or 5 several years previous, which is nonetheless their choice. But by the time the little one gets 6 years aged, parents will be needed by their neighborhood state to enroll the child in a faculty presenting the Ktwelve education and learning whether they like it or not. Nonetheless, the compulsory college age in some states is 7 or 8 several years previous. This compulsory education started thanks to the regulation that was made in 1918. Theoretical Framework This study is based on the framework of k to 12 education. Comparative education is the study of different countries education systems. Michael Sadler was one of the first and most influential comparativists in education. Sadler found comparative education valuable for a number of reasons. Sadlers research allows researchers to describe education systems, processes, and outcomes. Moreover,

comparativeeducation can be used to support the development of education institutions and practices. From a humanistic perspective, comparative education can be used to emphasize relationships between education and society. Lastly, comparative education creates global truths about education that are valid in more than one country. Though, in studying other education systems, Sadler emphasized that one must not forget the effect of culture on an education system (Bereday, 1964). Studies of comparative education have found that k to 12 education is a helpful tool for various reasons. It is beneficial to evaluate why and how one country has had success in education as to

produce a possible solution for a failing system. Researchers, also highlight the influence of culture on an education system. The Comparative and International Education Society, continues research in hopes of producing cross-cultural

understanding and to further students achievement and development across the world. K to 12 education is reflected in this project by our purpose

Conceptual framework The conceptual framework of the study is a system that shows that the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, civil status, school last attended and educational attainment will experience and undergo the K to 12 education and it will successfully show that K to 12 curriculum will bring development in our education system.

Demographic profile of the respondents in terms of: Age Gender

Statement of the Problem The study will focus on the initial implementation of the K to 12 program as an alternative source to foundation of Education. The K to 12 curriculum focuses on the holistic development of the learner. The results of the study will serve as basics for the learners and teacher for higher education, middle level skills, employment and entrepreneurship. Specifically, it aims to answer to the following sub-problems: 1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of: 1.1 Age; 1.2 Gender; 1.3 Civil Status; 1.4 School Last Attended; 1.5 Educational Attainment? 2. Why is K to 12 program better than the current program in terms of: 2.1 Universal Kindergarten 2.2 Contextualization and enhancement; 2.3 Spiral Progression; 2.4 Mother tongue based multi-lingual education;

2.5 Senior High School; and 2.6 College and Livelihood readiness 3. How will the K to 12 program help students to pursue higher education? 4. How will teachers be prepared for the K to 12 program?

Hypothesis The basic hypothesis of this study is that there is no significant relationship between the way of teaching through K to 12 and present curriculum. Teachers generally follow the tactic of asking students to work on a lot of assignments since it develops an intellectual, yet interesting learning habit. Through this education system, all students are given individual attention and hence they understand their subjects in a more practical way.

Scope and Limitations of the Study The study will attempt to assess the feasibility of K12 program as an alternative source to foundation of education. The respondents of the study were composed of 121 randomly selected students which comprise the 15% of the total population. Benigno Ninoy S. Aquino High School is where the study was being conducted. The result of this study is applicable only to the respondents of this study and should not be used as

a measure of the effect of K12 program as an alternative source to foundation of education.
