YES, I am not only trying to suggest but honestly believe that our minds are an immense source of power and energy. It is up to us to harness the power of this energy and walk towards happiness, success and good health. At first, it was hard for me to believe, but when I did the exercises suggested, and then slowly I proved it to myself. With consistent practice, I found the technique to be true and effective. Here are some points that brought me an understanding of myself. When I look back, just like any other rejected person, I too was blaming life. I not only felt but also believed that life had been unfair with me. Looking into each area of my life, first it shocked me! Because, I was too good, too kind, too much of being a nice guy. I realized, I am being used, being taken advantage off, without even any realization on my part! That was it. I shouted aloud and said to me Enough is enough! I had to learn to say NO however difficult I found it to be. In addition, for the first time in my life I learned to say NO to what I was doing and acting. The result, I started respecting myself and instead of looking outside for approval, I felt reassured of my actions and decisions. I felt in control of myself and everything that I encountered was a positive experience. To my surprise, my biggest fears proved to be groundless. I was not abandoned, disliked, or lost friends. Instead, I realized who is my friend and who is advantage taker? For the first time after a long while, I felt respected. With this newfound feeling of self-esteem, self-respect, self-confidence, I started to become and feel stronger, more independent. It changed my whole world; I was able to communicate better, generate more money, gain more respect, and acquire more good friends. My concern now is that nothing happens to alter or change this scenario to anyone. It is the power inside us all, that allows us to say YES or NO to the gifts

We begin our discussion on harnessing the power of the minds for health. Good health the most important aspect of our lives is a gift. When we have this gift, we often take it for granted and ignore it. Sickness of any kind is blockage of flow of energy in our physical body. Youll be surprised to read but I believe it to be true with all my heart and soul that bad health can develop either at physical level or mental level. If it develops at the physical level, it has the potential of affecting the mind and if it develops at the mental level, it has the potential of affecting the body. Yes, I am trying to suggest that your mind and body are interrelated and each has an influence on the other. This brings good news! Disease irrespective of its place of origin can be treated on both levels for maximum benefit. Eastern societies have long ago recognized this interrelationship and had a holistic approach towards healing. The approach leads to tackling the cause rather than just the symptoms and preventing recurrence in any form. In no way is a suggestion being floated that there is no need to consult a medical professional. Let us delve into the mind and body link deeper for a better understanding. The Link There is vast scientific evidence that supports the claim that the immune system works very closely with the nervous and endocrine system to work effectively. The Placebo Effect has always been an integral part of medical research and questions like why and how some people under the same set of circumstances are able to respond better to treatment than others has always puzzled researchers . Today enough evidence is available that proves that our minds and bodies are closely related and work in cohesion to have a positive (good health) or a negative (bad health) impact. Sickness begins in the energy field of mind about 18 months before it manifests in the physical body. Our mind and our emotions have an immense potential to influence illness. Our bodies possess an astonishing ability to restore and recreate itself. Both positive and negative beliefs in the mind have a reflection on our bodies. Our thoughts are an energy force having the potential to create a world that we want. This also means that this energy force has the potential to alter and even destroy what we do not want. This gives us information that sickness as well as healing power is in our mind. We can use our mind in special way to heal not only our bodies but also of people around us. I will show you this special way in a minute, but first understand this: Every thought, feeling and emotion that is generated in your mind and heart triggers a chemical response in your entire body including the bloodstream, and the immune system. Sickness and Disease may be the result of repressed negative emotions. This also means that healing and good health can be attracted by positive thoughts and feelings. Many Doctors, medical professionals are adding or suggesting positive powerful affirmations or prayers to be added to a patients prescriptions and it has brought beautiful positive results.

What is an Affirmation? An affirmation is a positive statement of fact, a suggestion made in the present tense. It is something that is possible. It is a strongly asserted belief, or a declaration of intent to act in a certain manner. It means to make firm belief to validate, to confirm that something exists. It is not a wish, which is merely an expression of desire, or a hope to accomplish. Yes, wishes can be up-graded to the status of an affirmation. The process of upgrading a wish, a desire to the status of an affirmation is simple and involves three simple steps:

At all the three steps what is required is A POSITIVE ACTION that is triggered and continuously fuelled by YOUR MIND. We all know that the food that we eat has an impact on our bodies and similarly thoughts the food of the mind also have an impact on our bodies. Our thoughts, our words control our health; they feed our body. We live what we believe and our bodies believe every word that we say, every feeling we feel, every thought we think. Dr. Joseph Murphy in his book, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind states that, Over 90 percent of your mental life is subconscious, so men and women who fail to make use of this marvelous power live within very narrow limits. The subconscious and the conscious mind are continuously in touch with each other. There is always a mental talk going on; it may be a talk, a movie, discussion, or fearful thoughts and feelings. All this happens irrespective of fact whether you take notice of it or not. The subconscious is like recorder of everything and plays back to you what you record on it. Our job is record the things we want in our lives. Therefore, here is the trick, record a healthy environment, activities that indicate happiness and joy, feelings that make you happy and feel good. Your talk with yourself and others has a direct, lasting impact on your body. Your thoughts produce feelings and impressions that are radiated to the outer world and at the same time absorbed by our own bodies. So watch your words and the way you say them. Always use positive words and sentences. It is for your own benefit. Use your subconscious mind to attract health towards yourself and enjoy the activities you are recording. Affirmations are seeds of anything you desire, in this case health and happiness. So sow good happy healthy seed. Take advantage affirmations to express that.

They are conscious decisions that establish positive thoughts over negative till they become a belief. I have mentioned above that the first step for upgrading a wish to an affirmation is to state ones desire. To be able to state ones desire, it is important to be aware of it. Louise L. Hay in her book You Can Heal Your Life says, When we have some patterns buried deeply within us, we must become aware of it in order to heal the condition. Perhaps we begin to mention the condition, to complain about it, or see it in other people. It rises to the surface of our attention in some way, and we begin to relate to it. Healing can be enhanced and better health achieved through awareness. It is important to be aware of ones beliefs, self-concepts, emotions and influences. It is only after awareness that the process of replacement of negative thoughts with positive be undertaken. Otherwise, self-talk which is often negative than positive, can set the path for self-destruction. We need to be aware of what we feed our mind. Take notice; replace negative thoughts with positive; replace negative words with positive and repeat affirmations to experience the change that you can trigger in your health and success. In the contest of positive words, affirmations, I call them as PRAYERS. You are free to use any context you are comfortable with. Results are the same. Now, here is the special way, I talked earlier. It involves two simple actions from you. Action I- Smile Action II- Make Careful Choices First, keep an attitude of SMILE. Smile, with a conscious mind. When you smile, it sends a signal that indicates easiness to your subconscious mind and in return the subconscious mind creates the easiness and healthy conditions in your physical body. Second, make careful choices. Exert your power to choose good health over bad, positive thoughts over negative, happiness over sadness, action over procrastination, forgiveness over anger, courage over fear. Simply choose good.

Let us work together through a few exercises to attract good health and move towards a balanced life:

Exercise I: Conscious Breathing The first exercise that you can practice is to breathe consciously. Breathing is the most basic of activities that a living body performs. I need not remind you of the importance of this activity. We are going to use this very important and basic activity of breathing to attract health and eliminate sickness from the body. So practice this exercise nearly at the same time every day, preferably in the mornings right after waking up. I call this exercise conscious breathing in order to highlight the ability of this action to enhance the amount of universal energy flowing into the body. Here our objective is breath consciously with feelings, emotions, sensations and awareness, understanding of conscious action. Heres how it works! While still in bed, stretch your body and let it relax. Keeping your eyes closed, breathe slow and deep for 5-10 minutes. With every breath that you take in imagine a healing energy enters and travels to each part/area of your body. Imagine this energy revitalizing your body and filling you up with a childlike, boundless energy. Concentrate on the area where there is suffering. See in your minds eye, the sickness, hurt is being healed. At first, it seems like you are making it up, but slowly you will develop the ability to see or feel. When you pay attention on that area, energy flows to it. If there is any cell, organ is hurting, that starts feeling of being attended, starts responding. Keep doing until it feels quite natural. Keep smiling while this energy heals and revitalizes your body. The same way, while exhaling, imagine negative thoughts, feelings, emotions of any impurities, toxins, sickness is sucked out from your body and let it go. Actually see it in minds eye leaving your body. In the end, do not forget to express gratitude to the Universe for making this healing energy available at your disposal.

Good Luck Maker Exercise II: Deep Breathing

The next exercise is deep breathing. Once a day, settle yourself in a comfortable position, lying down or on a coach, keep your back straight. Make sure you will not be disturbed for 10-15 minutes by any person or phone etc. Take a moment to stretch out and relax every area, every parts of your body. With your eyes closed, concentrate on your breathing, become aware of the gentle and regular ebb and flow. Gradually slow it down in order to deepen your state of relaxation. Breathe abdominally, that means when inhaling your abdomen should come out and when exhaling the abdomen should compress. Practice this for a few minutes and when you feel relaxed, then imagine, visualize, a ray of bright radiant light that has healing power enters your body. Actually see it happening in your mental eye. When this radiant light penetrates your body, it melts the blocked area in the body, corrects the flow of energy while healing you. While exhaling, feel the relief from pain. Smile, and be happy that your well-being is coming to normal. Feel connected to the healing energy that is always available to you, waiting to be tapped in.

Mirror exercise is another simple yet a highly effective exercise that can be practiced for attracting positivity and good health. Stand in front of a mirror and say to yourself, as out loud or in thought language the positive statement: I accept myself and love myself just as I am. I recognize myself as a worthy person. I am thankful for that. My mind and body are ready to enjoy good day. When you are in front of mirror and saying these statements, feel the reality as true. As days will go by, you will notice the difference in your health as well as your attitude towards things around you. These simple but powerful exercises will have the effect of cleaning and preparing you to receive the miracles of life. Be certain and practice these exercises regularly until you feel well and all set for a better health and normal activities of life.

Attract Success at Work, Job or Business! If you take a few minutes and look around yourself, on observing people around you, you would realize that most of them including you are stuck in mediocrity. The sheer number of people who spend their entire lives doing jobs that they hate and expecting success and prosperity to come their way is unbelievable. Do you often feel that success, promotions, good contacts are meant for others and not you. Struggle, hard work, and mediocrity are what identify your professional life? A few years back, I too was one among many like you. Scared and feeling stuck, negative emotions like fear, insecurity had conditioned me in to becoming a mere survivor. Success, promotions were meant for others and not for me. Though wanted to reach out to be successful but I had constrained myself so much that I would not even allow myself to think of success. We all are running after success, wealth, recognition but have no idea how and what to do in order to reach there. I am sure you want to win this game known as Life and want success as desperately as I wanted. Largely we our self are responsible for success behaving in an elusive manner. Number of times we tend to sabotage our own success without knowing it. Self Sabotage The word sabotage is defined in the dictionary as an act or process that tends to hamper, hurt, or deliberate subversion and when this act of deliberate subversion is directed towards oneself, it is termed as self sabotage. As put by Alyce P. Cornyn Selby, Self sabotage is when we say we want something and then go about making sure it doesnt happen. The question crossing your mind at the moment is why would I sabotage my own success?

The truth is self sabotage is a very common behaviour. We do it all the time. Before an exam you think, I cannot pass this exam, before going for a deal you think, I cannot get it and when anything goes wrong you think, Its all my fault, my bad luck or even It always happens with me. You are targeting these thoughts against yourself, indulging in negative thoughts, sending negative signals to the subconscious mind. Such negative thoughts easily become a habit hampering achievement of goals and realization of dreams. The vicious circle of self sabotage is easy to recognise but difficult to break. Let me first help you identify if you are stuck in self sabotaging behaviour. If the answer to any of the questions given below is Yes, you are involved in self sabotage. Do you often compare yourself to others? Do you focus on what is not right and what is not working? Are you stuck in fear? Do you feel worthless?

Self sabotaging behaviour is highly destructive. It is not only keeping success away from you but further eating up your self confidence and self esteem. It requires conscious effort to break free from such negative behaviour and negative thoughts. Well, I am going to share some secrets with you, which will help you break free from self-sabotaging, limiting behavior and topple the game of life to attract success at work and everywhere you go. Once again, two very simple actions are required from you and they are: Action I Feel empowered Action II Overcome limited thinking First, feel empowered. Feel that you are empowered to harness the potential of your strengths and assets along with the potential of Universal laws that are working towards your success. If you are not in a job (business, position, or location) of your choice, start looking for one that matches your choice with utmost faith in yourself and forces of the universe.

Second, let yourself dream. By limiting your dreams you are limiting your possibilities. If you dream is to earn $1,000 a month that is the maximum you will be able to achieve and when you aspire for $1, 00,000 you work to achieve that kind of goal. You become stronger, resourceful for bigger results. So just dont limit yourself. Our mind plays an important role in helping us walk towards success. Goals irrespective of the fact, they are minor or major can only be achieved by harnessing the power of the mind. You can use the power of the mind to create or destroy. Let us together work through a few exercises to attract success at work: Exercise I: Positive Affirmations When you go to sleep at night; lull on the thought or affirmation. I entrust my life to the source of my life, which protects me and guides me throughout day and night. Tonight I am going to sleep healthy and restful sleep. Tomorrow morning when I wake up, I feel happy, healthy, energized. My mind and body will be ready to enjoy good day. I have already explained how powerful the positive affirmations are. They are the seed for thought, which controls the action and in turn which determines the results. Positive and specific words can be used to create success. Take a deep breath, bring a smile on your face, and repeat these affirmations to yourself at least three times a day with utmost honesty and faith. Believe in the suggestions that shoot to your mind for positive results. I am ready and receptive to the wonderful (job, new position or work whatever in your case may be) where I can utilize my God given abilities in the best interest of the company; I am handsomely rewarded in return of the work that I do; My work is appreciated and I feel good; My co-workers, boss and company as whole are very good; I am able to express creatively that brings satisfaction to me; I love my job, it is wonderful, and it is so.

Once you have finished affirming the above lines, convey thanks to Universe, God, or Universal powers for giving you the opportunity to be thankful. In addition, be grateful for even the smallest thing that comes your way. It is very important. Exercise II: Creative Visualization Creative Visualization is a powerful exercise that you can use to create and realize your dreams. Using it proactively, I mean at will, you can attract success and prosperity towards yourself. It uses the power of the mind to create, to alter, to attract success, money, possessions, and even love. The exercise is based on the principle that thoughts possess creative, the potential power to mold our lives and attract what we think about. Thoughts travel from one mind to another and are unconsciously picked up by people around us who are contributories to our success. Thoughts are laden with energy. For this exercise, you visualize in your mind an event, a situation as you would like it to be. For example, you desire to get a promotion at work, visualize yourself receiving the news, colleagues congratulating you, you taking on new responsibilities, the boss appreciating you for a job well done. See yourself as a satisfied professional. Create the smallest detail clearly in vivid pictures. Make this a habit and do more often for as many dreams as you want and see them converting into a reality. Start your day with smile and go to sleep visualizing your success. This single and simple habit will take you where you want to go. Once again express your gratitude to Universe / God for filling you up with positive thoughts and feelings and the wisdom you now possess.

The next exercise is the mirror exercise. Stand in front of the mirror and look into your eyes. Smile and say to yourself, (Creator/Universe/God Who ever sent you) loves me and so do I. The moment you will say this to yourself, you will be filled with a sense of acceptability. Next, say to you, God is greater than my needs. All my needs are constantly met. This will make you feel satisfied and self-sufficient. Now with confidence repeat, I am going to find work that gives me a sense of fulfillment. For the work I do, I am richly rewarded. I am going to love my work, my company, and my co-workers. I am happy, excited and for this I give thanks. The moment you say this, you will feel pride in your current assignments and your earnings. You will realize the good about your work, your workplace and colleagues. In the morning when you wake up, leave the bed with enthusiasm, get up balance your body on your legs, open your arms on sides and say to yourself: I allow myself to be open and receptive for the love, and abundance life has to offer. I am ready for it. This is so. Thank you, thank you, and thank you. Start your day in your way, if a negative thought comes in; quickly change it into positive statement to yourself. Look for work with internal hint or flash. These exercises will change you for better and instead of you running after success, you will notice and feel success is coming towards you. A successful or a good relationship mean different things to different people. I am sure that you would agree with me that in a mature relationship what we seek is love, commitment, compatibility, companionship, comfort to communicate, mutual respect and interests. Irrespective of the relationship, it is obvious to experience challenges and a desire to emerge happy and loved from these lifes difficulties. Let me tell you, like everything else in life, we need to work on our relationships. A healthy relationship is as if a healthy plant has a purpose in life; to provide shade, comfort and fruits. Just as a plant requires water and sunlight to develop, relationships require investment in terms of time, effort, and emotions. Relationships are built and require conscious effort. Relationships are based on a simple principle that is best described by the proverb, As you sow so shall you reap. Meaning you will get back only that in a relationship what you nurture it. Patience, love, compassion, understanding will get you the same and anger, hate, contempt, jealousy will get you back the same. A Universal Truth Anything you complain, condemn, or blame . . . you lose; anything you appreciate . . . you gain! The above lines are a universal truth and the same holds true when it comes to relationships. Let me explain this with the help of an example. Suppose your mind is transmitting your thoughts on the air just as a radio station does. We name this radio station as your radio. It is working all the time, broadcasting your messages to your audiences. Your audiences may be your immediate family members, friends, relatives, customers; can you tell what

signals are you sending out? What your message is about? Are these thoughts loving, or hateful? Now suppose you have a big receiver antenna on your head and you are receiving all the audible signals, other signals like feelings, visual body movements, and expressions in your radio that plays live to you. Imagine both the signals that you send out and receive are being recorded in a recording device. Your recording device is perpetually ON recording every sound, signal, movement that originates from you or comes your way. Now, imagine yourself reviewing the entire recording that has been recorded over a day or two. Is the content largely positive or negative? Doesnt the above statement prove itself true? For every positive signal that you will send out you will receive back a positive response. For every negative signal that you send out, you receive a negative response. This is what exactly happening. Our minds work as I put in the example. If the program that has hate complains, accusations, tricking around and lying are being broad casted or played then that is what you are going to get back. Keeping that in mind next time use your broadcast messages, voices, feelings, pictures, and thoughts that you like.

Relationships and the Mind We have already discussed that the mind is a powerful tool. When it comes to two individuals in a relationship, they are separate in bodies but connected at the mental level. It is at the level of the mind that everything originates. Our subconscious mind is a very sensitive organ. So replace everything negative in the recordings of your mind with only positive aspects - love songs, respect, harmony, and co-operation. What would these positive programs do to the environment around you? How often would you listen to these programs? Would you not like these programs to continue playing for you? Even if you raise the volume, Im sure these programs will give you pleasure and happiness to feel it throughout your being to enjoy.

For better family relationships, it is important that we have to broadcast good programs and avoid damaging, negative programs. Because at mental level we pick up thoughts of other people, good or bad and so do the other people. Relationships are a two way street, so be careful. We have already discussed a few exercises that can help you attract good health and success at work. These exercises can be modified to forge healthy relationships. Let us discuss them with respect to building healthy, happy and strong relationships. Before you practice the exercises, there is one simple step that you need to take. It is: Action I: Prepare yourself. The first step that you need to take to attract positive and healthy relationships is to prepare yourself for them. It is important that you set out an objective of enjoying a satisfying relationship. accepts the affirmation. Reinforce the idea of a happy relationship to your mind every time. Exercise II: Creative Visualization At night, before going to sleep, visualize the qualities of your affirmation in your relationship. Visualize yourself as making love, receiving love, in harmony, and at peace. Smile and emit positive, loving thoughts to the person/persons in this mutual relationship. Treat the other person the way you want to be treated. That is with respect.

Exercise III: Mirror Exercise Stand in front of the mirror and smile at yourself. Mentally go in the future, two months, six months or even two years from now and see yourself in a way you wanted to be. Involve your physical senses the power to see, hear, feel, smell, and taste. See your partner, family member (fill in the details); hear your partner conversing with you, smell the perfume/cologne see the dress /clothes your partner is wearing, taste the drink or food you are savoring with your partner/family member. Seeing all this play in front of your eyes will bring satisfaction to you. You are feeding positive and happy thoughts about your relationship. When it comes to attracting prosperity, the mind plays an important role. Prosperity comes to those who have it inside them to attract it. Your thoughts that you believe in play a major role in attracting prosperity. Many experts say; Being broke is temporary condition. Being poor is state of mind. It is a mental condition. This has grown through negative beliefs of poverty! Charles F. Haanel in his book Master Key System says: Thought is energy. Active thought is active energy; concentrated thought is concentrated energy. Thought concentrated on any definite purpose becomes power. This is the power, which is being used by those who do not believe in the virtue of poverty, or the beauty of self-denial. They perceive that this is the talk of weaklings. The ability to receive and manifest this power depends upon the ability to recognize the Infinite Energy ever dwelling in man, constantly creating and recreating his body and mind, and ready at any moment to manifest through him in any needful manner. In exact proportion to the recognition of this truth will be the manifestation in the outer life of the individual. To attract prosperity, you need to have the right thoughts, right mind-set, and right beliefs. Go ahead and de-clutter/let go the old ideas, mind-set and beliefs, and clear the path for prosperity to come towards you.

The Law of Attraction and Prosperity I can imagine that you are tired of the entire struggle and feel daunted by the heap of unpaid bills. You want this situation to end as soon as possible, but not looking for a quick fix solution. Nothing works for prosperity as much as the Law of Attraction or the Sow and Reap policy. If you reap lack, scarcity, dissatisfaction this is what you shall get back. Perception and Prosperity Perception plays an important role in attracting prosperity. It is important that you view the world and your money matters through a positive lens and not a negative one. In case youre already embroiled in negativity you will have to make an effort to change your perception. What you believe and surround yourself with, you will create for yourself. Do not just see the clouds, see, and appreciate the positive aspect around them. Your perception is not a momentary matter, it the result of your conditioning over number of years. We tend to strengthen our perceptions and reinforce our beliefs even if they are negative. Changing perceptions is not easy. It requires you to put in a conscious effort, be patient and persistent. You need to make positive perceptions a habit to attract prosperity. Let me explain a few exercises that you can practice to attract prosperity. Just like in the case of physical exercise, wherein, you are required to stretch your muscles before you do the actual exercise, take the following steps: Action I: Watch your Self Talk Action II: Watch your Company As the first step towards prosperity, it is important to watch what you feed your mind. Watch your self-talk. Are you hating, resisting money or do you have loving, respectful thoughts of money and people with money? Is this the root cause of lack? Let us move on to discuss some exercises that will help you condition your mind for attracting prosperity. The exercises are simple and do not involve any mumbojumbo as many people may portray. However, yes, these exercises require a lot of patience and frequent practice.

Exercise I: De-cluttering your Mind and/or Letting Go! The first exercise is de-cluttering your mind or let go the thoughts that are consuming your time and energy and learning how to do it? Here is a simple exercise that will make you feel light, young and rejuvenated. It will help you make a new beginning. Get out of playing the victim, stop blaming any one or any circumstances. Accept full responsibility of your life. If anything goes wrong, you are responsible. If anything goes right or good, you are responsible. In short, no matter what happens to you, you are responsible for your life and circumstances around you. Sit down quietly, forgive your parents for being poor or any other who played in your circumstances. Forgive yourself of having helpless thoughts about you. Let go all negative thoughts that have been holding you back. Do this simple exercise few times a day or anytime negative thoughts get hold of you and bother you. Do this for a few weeks until you feel peace inside.

Stay with these positive pictures and thoughts of abundance as long as want. Do not rush yourself out of it. Enjoy the feeling that you have everything. See yourself doing the things you would like to do. Feel happiness, respect in family and in community the way you want it to be. Practice until it becomes habit. When it becomes habit, subconscious takes over and makes it happen. Do not bring how in your thoughts. Let the subconscious do its job. It would be wrong of me to ask you to seek success and happiness in your life. Success is something that we all want. I know it is frustrating to see a friend who graduates the same year as you, swoosh away in his new car with a pretty wife and healthy kids while you are left waiting for public transport. The success enjoyed by some people seems to be effortless. Just like you, I had often thought about what is the difference between successful and unsuccessful people. What is the difference between them and me? What extra did they do that made all the difference? The one major difference that I observed was their ability to dream and their ability to dream BIG. The first step to being successful is to imagine you as a successful person. Fear and doubt repels success. Success cannot come to a person who holds a mental attitude embroiled in apprehensions, uncertainty, and hesitation towards it. Trying to become successful while thinking about failure and disappointment ensures that success does not come your way. Story of every successful person starts with a vision. Mentally picture yourself in a successful role and take every possible step to create it in realty. That is the way it works my friend. This will help you to identify the actions that you would take so that they should lead you to be successful or achieve success. In short, defining your goal will help you envision, planning, take action, and remove any obstacles in your way to success. A promotion, a bigger office, a bigger car, a house, a new role, a fit body, happy relationships, a confident you, more friends, whatever you want for yourself, imagine that you are already enjoying it. What is that keeps these people happy even in adversity? What is that keeps them happy even when the circumstances are not at their best? To answer these questions in the simplest form is, these people have a secret key to happiness and that secret key is passion of life. They understand that failure is temporary thing. Whatever they will focus on grows, so next time they focus on happiness and achieve. These people are aware of what their passion in life is and why it is a passion with them. To stay happy it is important to know what you want from life. Once you know what you want it is only then that you can work towards achieving it. We all have the capacity to attract happiness and make it stay as a part of our lives. We can attract happiness irrespective of our age and even circumstances. Happiness is a byproduct of taking the right actions, thinking the right thoughts, and avoiding the wrong ones. A meal cooked using fresh ingredients at an ideal flame tastes different from a meal cooked using packaged ingredients over very high flame. Similarly, for a perfect state of happiness it is important that you use the right mix of right thought and right action. Let me help you take two simple steps towards happiness. Action I: Be sure. Action II: Live in the present. Step I requires you to be sure of who you are and what you want from life. Identify your passion and take every feasible action towards your passion. Being sure of what you want will help you to take concrete action and sound decisions. The next step requires you to live in the present. Feel the surroundings where you are, enjoy, breath, smell, see and a sense of it. Do not hold on to the past, it is gone. There is nothing you can do about it. In addition, do not fret over the future. You cannot be at two places in one time. You cannot be in future and in present same time. Train yourself to be where you are the present and enjoy every moment of it. Have no regrets for the past and the future we all know you have not seen yet. Look for pleasant and happy things around you, wherever you are. Unlike the earlier chapters, there is only one exercise to work through in this chapter. The exercise will help you identify your passion.

Exercise I: Knowing Oneself Passion is the fuel that gives you energy to pursue your dreams. For a purposeful life it is important to know your passion. What is it that you can talk about to anyone? Read and re-read your answers. Imagine yourself do the activity that you have identified. Does the thought of being involved in it make you happy? Does it fill you with a boundless energy? YES, this is your passion. You might not be able to answer all the questions in one sitting and may need to sit two or even three times. Do not quit trying to find your passion. Once you have identified your passion, do as much research as possible on it. Read books, information on websites and meet people already pursuing it. If you want to make a career out of your passion go out and get the necessary skills. Moreover, if you are lucky, you might already be doing it!

Express Gratitude We tend to take everything - the material possessions, relationships, friends, health, the sun, air and everything else around us for granted. Not even for a second does the thought of absence of any of these cross our minds. All these are so obvious that we even forget to express our gratitude for being able to enjoy them. We have mentioned it repeatedly in the book that express gratitude. We all know what the term gratitude means. It is being thankful. It is being happy for things, circumstances, relations that are around you. Expressing gratitude is very important to attain, achieve, and experience success and happiness. Express your gratitude to God, your parents, your colleagues, friends, and even strangers for everything small and big. I have always found it to be a very effective.

Take an example, every person wants appreciation if he/she something good for you. When you express your gratitude even for small actions that a person does for you, you make him your friend. He/she will do more for you if need may be. That makes him/her feel good. When you thank the Universe for the abundance and the gifts that have been bestowed upon you. Universe will do more for you. Universe will open the floodgates of everything you are thankful for towards you. Every time you acknowledge something good around you, you will feel that Universe/God has specially chosen you for this. You will satisfaction inside you. That is good sign. Once you start expressing your gratitude for all things big and small, you will feel a change. More to be grateful for will surround you. Every time you express a feeling of gratitude, you will be feeling happiness, satisfied, fulfilled. Your perceptions will change for better. Next time always, concentrate on what you have rather than thinking about what is missing from your life. Practice expressing gratitude every day and experience a change in the quality of your life. Continue to express your gratitude even in small achievements and see things unfold and witness them. Make it a habit.

way when you do your breathing, energy will not be wasted, but be circulated in the body by completing the circuit. That will open the solar plexus to its normal working. That is the center of intuition, sixth sense or gut feeling. Work on letting go. Give yourself five to ten minutes in quite place and concentrate on the things that did not work in your life. Instead of beating yourself up, take deep breath and let that thought, action, habit go. It did not serve you, and will not serve you anymore. Once you free your mind, new and better ideas may come soon. Develop mental pictures. This is the secret. Pictures do not care about language we speak. They are same named or explained in as many languages as we wish them. Best of all pictures are the language of Universe. Learn to develop the pictures in your minds eye for you to transmit your desires, wishes and goals. When pictures show up in flashes, dreams learn to interpret them in plain words. Learn and understand the sources and causes of human sufferings. Practice on visualization on any matter you wish. Concentrate more on thought that you wish and follow the lead. Practice to view the mental movies in details and in vivid colors. Play with colors, and things. More details and clear the images are the results are sure and quick. Play in your minds eye to see your connection with source. See little icon that shows the signal strength like cell phone. Feel that you are connected, then ask what you want. Bring any condition you desire in your mental movie after establishing the better signal strength. Now look for answer how to apply the knowledge you gained in any area. Once in harmony, understand the cause and effect law about your own situation and condition. Practice to concentrate on any single purpose, until it is achieved. Keep in mind your own power to create. Start to see yourself from outside. See the earth is not flat. See the stars not as points but huge planets similar to earth. See earth is moving around sun.
