Slatted paper lantern
These little lanterns are so colourful and festive when they’re strung on a line together. Change sizes and use different colours and patterned papers for different celebrations.

Time: Aproximately 1 hour Difficulty: Hints: We used the colours red and gold
in this activity as they are popular colours for Chinese New Year decorations.

1. If you’re having trouble threading the bead through your ribbon, trim it as shown at right. 2. Glue your template to thick card to make tracing easier
