This week we are learning:

Circle Time Review
This week we are going to review the different buildings you get in the town and the farm. Vocabulary includes: barn, farmhouse, silo, supermarket, bank, hospital, library, school. We are also going to take a look at the different colours that accompanies the days of the week. Vocabulary includes: Monday, yellow, Tuesday, pink, Wednesday, green, Thursday, orange, Friday, blue, Saturday, purple, Sunday, red. We are also going to pay attention to what day is next (tomorrow) and the day before (yesterday).

Activity Time

Vocabulary: omelet, rice, chicken, noodles, soy sauce, stirfried noodles, Massaman curry, coconut soup, tom yum, papaya salad, catfish, sticky rice, fried chicken Sentence structure: Question: What is your favourite Thai food? Response: My favourite Thai food is... Question: What is (Thai dish, example Phat thai)? Activities: We are going to do a word search of all the different Thai foods. We are also going to finish our food hangers this week. We are also going to colour in a lady dressed in traditional Thai clothing. We are going to get really creative and make a nice puppy out of different sizes of circles. Songs: We are going to learn the words for 'loopy loo'. This song is not available on the Internet. Games: We are going to play 'fly swat' and hit the correct flashcard with a fly swatter. We are also going to play 'Team 1 and Team 2' where they have to tell me what is in a food item. The team that can lable the most items win.

Preparing for Prathom 1

English Grammar We are going to learn about the different forms of the verb 'be' (is, am, are). We are going to construct sentences using these verbs, example 'He is, You are, I am, ect.' English We are going to fill out a shopping list and sort it into different categories: fruit, drinks, baked food. We are also going to have fun and look for the words in the word search. Maths We are going to play 'fastest boy or girl' again. This week we are going to do math on scrap paper and use big numbers to calculate. The student who can answer me first wins. We are also going to continue doing our mathematical problems. Science This week we are going to learn about the different parts of a plant. We are also going to learn about the plant cycle. The students are going to plant their own little seeds and watch them grow.
