Decimals Game Board Project

Group members: ________________, __________________, Assignment: You are a board game manufacturer, and you have been assigned the task of creating a board game that will help your classmates review everything the have learned about decimals and number sense in a fun and interesting way. What makes a board game so much fun? You can create challenges like roadblocks and false paths, there can be lucky squares, forward/backward magic squares? The following is a planning sheet to help you prepare for your project. Make sure you follow the rubric when building your board game. Game Board: Please plan out your game board FIRST o Do players move by selecting cards, rolling a dice or both? o How do you win the game? Points or reaching an end? Create: playing pieces, cards, the physical board, money(?) and anything else your game will require Use colored construction paper and/or poster paper, markers, pencil crayons Make it neat, colorful, and interesting. Be as creative as possible

Questions: Must have 30 questions (whether they are board pieces or cards) Questions must consist of: rounding decimals, adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing decimals, place value (whole numbers and decimals), comparing/ordering decimals, estimation of decimals, problem solving and any other math skills youve learned throughout the unit. Provide answers- whether its on an answer key or the question cards The questions must be somehow incorporated into playing the game. MUST be typed!!!
