Overview
CODE Fault Code: 1518 PID: SPN: 1484 FMI: 31 LAMP: Amber SRT: REASON At Least One Module Has A Moderately Severe Fault Condition Exists EFFECT Dependent on particular faults from ECM1, ECM2, or ECM3 that triggered Fault Code 1518.

CM850 Electronic Control Module - QST30 Power Generation Interface Engine

Circuit Description The ECM3 lights an amber lamp when ECM1 and/or ECM2 have a Moderately Severe Fault. Component Location The ECMs are located on the rear of the engine. ECM1, ECM2, and ECM3 are located above the flywheel housing at the rear of the engine. Refer to Procedure 100-002 for detailed component locations. Shop Talk There are multiple ECMs for the engine model included in this manual. Each ECM has an individual source address that displays when INSITE™ electronic service tool is connected. When troubleshooting a fault code, use the source address displayed in INSITE™ electronic
