Shriram Industries came into existence in 1953. Our board has been instrumental in the process of taking us from ideation to success and in developing our business strategy. Under the guidance of our visionary chairman Mr. Chaman Lal Aggarwal who holds a master degree in mechanical engineering from IIT Kharagpur & is also a qualified chartered engineer. Our group has grown a lot since its inception. In early 60s we were mainly dealing in industrial & agricultural pumping sets. It was at this time that we made some tyre type flexible couplings to be used with our pumping sets. These were the very first such couplings made in the country. Influenced by the extremely favorable response of users to these couplings, we gradually switched over to manufacture tyre type couplings from around mid 60s with the name of Unique Coupling India & C. Lal Industries. These couplings under Unique Si brand are still the most popular & widely used flexible couplings in India & abroad. During the course of last two decades a large variety of flexible couplings and accessories in different designs & sizes have been added to the manufacturing range. We proudly claim to have played a pioneering role in bringing to Indian industry such indigenously made couplings as non-lubricating all metallic flexible couplings. At present we manufacture and supply the most comprehensive range of couplings and other mechanical power transmission devices available from a single source in the country. We also export to clients globally in more than 30 countries, including : Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, North America, South East Asia.
