Commitments as an English Educator First, it is necessary you believe in our method – you need to know where you can

get and the way you can do it. It is necessary you previously know the entire book content and listen to the CD at least once before you start teaching the classes. Be professional (posture, appearance, dressing, punctuality). Arrive ten (10) minutes earlier to organize your classroom: turn on the air-conditioner, set the desks in the correct place, separate the material which is going to be used, erase the board if necessary; Always write your name and the date on the board; Never leave the class to get something you forgot, that´s why you must be earlier at the branch: to organize yourself; Your goal is to teach English.Do not chat in the classroom in a not effective way. The students are investing money and time; Always speak English inside the classroom and stimulate your students to do the same; Prepare your classes in advance; Never sit while explaining something, keep walking around the classroom to check if students need help, or stay close to the board to keep board record of students´ oral mistakes, doubts or anything that needs to be explained; If you want to give an extra song or movie activity, make sure you send your prepared class to be analyzed by Microlins Franchising Coordinator; Never teach an activity without being authorized; Follow your schedule and the Teacher´s Edition Book and, if you still have any doubts, always ask! Always solve your doubts before you teach your class: It´s better to ask in advance, than to fix a mistake later on; Keep in touch with the Franchising English Coordinator, it´s a way of having better feedback and suggestions; Do not give your back to the students while writing on the board; Practice empathy – put yourself under the students´ shoes; Wake the students´ interest in learning – always have in mind where you can and want to get – Create expectations, tell the students what they´ll learn on the next class. Do it in a motivated and excited way; Encourage students´ participation – your classes will be much interesting!!! Tell your students how important their participation is, explain it´s part of their final grade and, if in the end they don´t reach enough grades, they´ll probably have to re-do the book all over again; Personal treatment – call your students by their names; Contact eye to eye – you notice when the students understand or not; Body language calls attention, so use it as much as you can; Be aware of each student difficulty and send them to reinforcement classes on Fridays;

Do not complete students´ answers – let them finish, but manage your time! Keep control of your students, do not let the other students anticipate the answer without being asked; Tell your students that learning English is not difficult – Initial difficulties will be soon surpassed with dedication and regular studies. Student´s motto must be in each lesson – always encourage them – learning means walking “step-by-step”; Encourage students to finish the course. Help them visualize the result they are going to get at the end of each book. Show your students how much they are learning, give examples, find results to prove it; Tell your students not to be ashamed of making mistakes while speaking, that´s the reason they have been enrolled in this course: to learn how they can get good results; Never take students out of the school without their parent´s permission (if they are underage).If you are teaching an outside class, make sure you have everything planned before.This kind of class must have a purpose, otherwise, students can feel they are only going for a ride to have fun (That´s not our goal); Daily evaluation has to be done! Make sure you fill in the evaluation chart in the end of every class. Do not leave it for later, you won´t remember every detail and your students´ grade depends on a very well evaluated chart. Whenever you have suggestions, don´t keep them to yourself, share with your coordinator, so your ideas can turn into reality. Always keep contact with the franchising coordinator; it will be easier to find solutions, to discuss ideas and to have a better orientation. Always do your best, and your experience at teaching will be just fascinating!!
