WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

WE GATHER TO GLORIFY GOD
PRELUDE Chorale Prelude on the German Hymn “Dearest Jesus, We Are Here” Gerald Near, b. 1942 †CALL TO WORSHIP (based on Psalm 36:5-9) One: Many: One: Many: Reverend Bobby Hulme-Lippert

O God, your constant love reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness extends to the skies. Your righteousness towers like the mountains; your justice is deeper than the sea. All find protection under the shadow of your wings. We feast on the abundance you provide. You are the source of all life, and, in your light, we see light.

†PRAYER OF CONFESSION (IN UNISON) Merciful God, you pardon all who repent and turn to you. We humbly confess our sins and ask your mercy. We have not loved you with a pure heart, nor have we loved our neighbor as ourselves. We have not done justice, loved kindness, or walked humbly with you, our God. Have mercy on us, O God, in your loving-kindness. In your great compassion, cleanse us from our sin and renew us in your image. We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen. †ASSURANCE OF PARDON †GLORIA PATRI 579 (Blue Hymnal) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
At this time, children 9 years old and younger are invited to come to the front of the sanctuary with our volunteer leaders. The children and their leaders will worship in the chapel. They will be in "Children's Church" for the remainder of the morning and will meet parents in the social room.

WE RESPOND TO GOD’S WORD
†HYMN 421 (Blue Hymnal) The Church of Christ in Every Age †APOSTLES’ CREED (IN UNISON) I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy Catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND THE LORD’S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Wareham
