K hook or size needed to obtain gauge G hook for inside of ears 1 skein of Red Heart Buttercup yarn or similar type Small amount of size 4 worsted weight pink yarn Yarn needle to sew on ears

~2~ Gauge: 1 inches = 3 sc This hat is completed in rounds. Use a stitch marker as necessary.

NEWBORN

R1: Ch 2, sc in last chain from hook 6 times R2: 2 sc in each of the stitches (12) R3: sc, 2sc in next sc, repeat around 5x (18)

R4: sc 2, 2sc in next sc, repeat around 5x (24)

R5: sc 3, 2sc in the next sc, repeat around 5x (30) and weave in ends.

From here sc around continuously until you reach your desired height. Tie off

3 6 MONTHS

R1: Ch 2, sc in last chain from hook 6 times R2: 2 sc in each of the stitches (12) R3: sc, 2sc in next sc, repeat around 5x (18)

R4: sc 2, 2sc in next sc, repeat around 5x (24)

R5: sc 3, 2sc in the next sc, repeat around 5x (30) R6: sc 4, 2sc in the next sc, repeat around 5x (36) and weave in ends. From here sc around continuously until you reach your desired height. Tie off

ADULT

R4: sc 2, 2sc in next sc, repeat around 5x (24) R5: sc 3, 2sc in the next sc, repeat around 5x (30) R7: sc 5, 2sc in the next sc, repeat around 5x (42) R6: sc 4, 2sc in the next sc, repeat around 5x (36) R8: sc 6, 2sc in the next sc, repeat around 5x (48) R9: sc 7, 2sc in the next sc, repeat around 5x (54) R10: sc 8, 2sc in the next sc, repeat around 5x (60) and weave in ends.

From here sc around continuously until you reach your desired height. Tie off

EAR FLAPS (MAKE 2) sc 6, ch 1 and turn

Fold hat in half to find the sides. Join yarn 2 stitches to the right of the fold and Sc 6, ch 1 turn, repeat Sc2tog, sc2, sc2tog, turn Sc2tog, sc2tog, sl st. Weave in all ends.

TIES (Make 2)

Cut 12 strands of yarn (6 for each side), 24 inches in length. Thread them through the ends of the ear flaps. You can braid, twist, or make curly ties. Pictured above is braided ties.

EARS (Make 2)

With Pink yarn and g hook: Ch 3, sc across, turn (2) Sc, 2sc, turn (3) 2sc, 2sc, turn (4) Sc, 2sc, 2sc, sc, turn (6) Sc across (6) repeat 1x Sc, Sc2tog, sc 3 (5) Sc, sc2tog, sc 2 (4) Sc, sc2tog, sc 1 (3) Sl St to join.

Join white yarn. Sc around. Sl st to join. Weave in all ends. Sew ears to hat above each ear flap.

ADDED SUGGESTIONS: ~ Add bows or flowers for a more girly lamb ~ Stitch the name onto the hat ~ Add pom poms to the end of the ties for a different look
