tephen was a boy who was mostly very good. His mom would teach him lessons, which he mostly understood.

But there was one thing that Stephen did That made his mother sad. He refused to floss or brush his teeth Though his breath smelled really bad. “Go and brush right now, young man!” She’d yell both day and night. “Your mouth smells like a garbage can; Your teeth aren’t even white!” To the bathroom Stephen would walk at once And run the faucet loud. But instead of brushing his untidy teeth, He’d eat candy and smile so proud.

he took her Stephen to the dentist Of which he was uncertain. He hid behind her at the door As if she was a curtain.

It was a friendly, happy office With people kind and caring. For the first few minutes of his visit, Stephen stood there staring. Everything looked just like the beach, A dog was there to pet. And while his teeth were being cleaned, He watched cartoons and didn’t fret. On the ride back to his home, Stephen felt no sorrow. He turned and pleaded with his mom, “Can we go back tomorrow? ”

“Don’t worry, son, it’s Growing Smiles,” His mother reassured him. And when they walked inside the room, What he saw there cured him.
