The Best Kiss Ever Shared
He stood there right in front of his locker which unfortunately was next to mine. He as usual was throwing in books which he didn't need for the weekend. He shoved in book after book into the locker using his muscular arms that were wrapped within the sleeve of his T-shirt. His white skin tone seemed to make him glow while his dreamy dark brown hair almost went black against in contrast. His expressions were blank or in other words unreadable but a twist at the end of his fresh cherry lips made it clear that he wasn't in a bad mood. I admit it. I had the biggest crush on Chris Valor. He was so cool, calm, quiet, intriguing and so not like the other boys in school. It had been more than a year since I had been crushing on him. We had our lockers next to each other and had biology and French classes together but my bad luck that we never talked to each other once. I could see Megan and his third boyfriend fighting verbally at the corner of the hall. It seemed as if they were breaking up. He must be another dumper that Megan went out with. Boys are usually flirts and big time cheaters and that’s the reason that I never dated anyone. They aren't true to there word and go out with more than five girls a week. But Chris, he was so different from its kind. He was the one, the only one who had caught my eye. You see, he usually didn't talk with girls rather than to go out with them. He never showed any signs of being a flirt either. He lived in a world of his own and that was what seemed to drive me crazy about him. I liked him a lot but I
wanted to find out if I love him or not because we can't love someone by his looks or at least I can't. For me love was something shared by two souls who knew each other's inside and I badly wanted to find out how Chris was on the inside. I walked up to my locker and started putting in the combination. Though Chris didn't take part in the most of the activities of the school, The seventeen year old was quite famous and had his locker usually filled with love letters which he was currently throwing away smiling smugly at the colorful papers. He is just so cute! I closed up my locker door, picked up my bag and turned away from the locker and I found him staring right at me. His eyes were locked on to mine and he smiled weakly. I felt awkward at first but then I saw one of his arms extended towards me. At the of the arm, in his hand was a pink colored letter with a two words in a frilly writing. I squinted hard to read and gasped. On it written in the frilly writing was 'Emily Davis' with a small heart next to it. "Ok, there must be some problem." I said hesitantly. "I didn't write that" His smiled grew wider. He is so handsome! "You know," he said bringing up the letter. "90% of the girls who write me letters like this say the same thing when I confront them"
"Yeah but honestly, I didn't write it" I replied. I looked at the writing again and recognized it. I looked back to see Megan who obviously was excited and smiled eagerly. I'll get you for this Megan. "Sorry, I think this is the work of one of my friends" "Some girls make that excuse too". He said handing me the letter. "No, seriously" I insisted. He opened his mouth to say something just when someone tapped him on the shoulder from behind. He turned around and so did I peek in to see who it was. "Hi Chris!" Rebecca spoke shrilly. "Did you get my letter?" "Please leave me alone. I don't want to go out with you!" He said annoyed. Rebecca looked a little shrunk but she came close to his ear and whispered "I know you want me Chris. You just don't know it yet" She then strode away. Chris looked a little annoyed. He slammed his locker and started walking down the hall. I struggled to catch up with him. "Hey!" I said. "Do you refuse to go out with every girl?” He suddenly stopped and stared at me. Oops! I just asked the wrong question at the wrong time. But I had to know now that I had brought it up. I stared back at him as if waiting for the answer.
He took a deep breath and said "Well, not all of the girls." Whew! My mind let out a breath that there might be a chance that I might get to know him. "I have never gone out with anyone but I won't refuse a sweet girl like you." My heart skipped a beat. Was he interested in me? And then from somewhere at the back of my mind, a voice busted out and said "Why don't you ask anyone out yourself?" He grinned at me and before I knew it, I was grinning back "How about tomorrow? At seven? Will you go out on a date with me?" I stopped my mouth from hanging loose. I never saw that coming. "Sounds good" I said trying to sound casual. "Then it’s done." He said as I turned away. "And Emily, Do you have a phone number incase I have to contact you?” the question caught me by surprise. I quickly gave him my no. I don't usually like boys who ask for my digits but he didn't ask for it. He just wanted to confirm and he wouldn't bug me even if a give my no. him so no harm done. "See you later!" I said and started walking away. "Looking forward to it!" he smiled and turned away! Such a nice guy and this proves he is really different from other boys. I still couldn’t believe that I was going on my first date with him all thanks to Megan after all it was she who wrote the letter!
***** "I still can't believe your going on a date!" my Mom stood at my bedroom door. She was shocked when I told her I was going out with Chris probably because I never had gone out with someone before. Dad was real protective and thought I was too young to go on a date but Mom convinced him by saying that she was also sixteen when they both went out! "I can't believe my lil' baby's grown up!" Mom excitedly looked at me. "Come on mom. It's not that big of a deal. Just a date!" but I knew that it was a real big deal. "And honey, couldn't you wear a dress or something?” Mom said. "I don't know where we are going mom and I want him to like me for who I am and dresses are only present at the prom in my life!" I didn't think I looked bad. I wore a a full-sleeved white fitted shirt and another bright orange t-shirt over white Capri pants. A dress just doesn't fit in a dating dictionary nowadays but I'd love to wear it at the prom. TING-TONG. The bell rang. I hurried downstairs to open it but my Mom had already opened it. I could here her talking to Chris. I know Mom would say something embarrassing but I had to go. "There's my daughter!" Mom cried when I came close to the door.
"Hi Chris" I said slightly embarrassed. He smiled at me. Oh he is so down to earth! He was dressed in a light blue T-shirt and off-white pants. He looked really cute with his hair wildly placed on his forehead. "Go on! Just don't stay out to late" my Mom said. She kept standing there. We both waited impatiently or at least I did for her to go. "Mom, Go!" I said irritated. "Oh, I am so sorry dear!" She apologized and went in. I closed the door to the house as I stepped outside. "Your Mother is a really sweet woman" He told me. "Yeah, Sort of. But she's a bit embarrassing" I admitted. "Nah. By the way Emily you look perfect. Prettiest girl I have ever seen." He looked right at me. "Really?" I asked him. "Yeah. I was hoping you don't wear a dress or something because I wanted this to be fun instead of official" He explained. I could feel I was slightly blushing. He then asked me for my hand which I gave him and he held it as if it was a feather which could be crushed by the slightest force. He guided me towards his car which was a mustang and seated him self next to me.
"Comfy?" He asked. Aww he is so caring! "Yeah. So where are we headed?" I asked "I thought the amusement park would be a fine place" "Yeah, I usually have a lot of fun at amusement parks." I said excitedly. "Me too. I bet we'll have loads of fun together” He said then he put up some songs. The songs were mostly my favorites and after a while he began singing with it. His voice was wonderful. It was really dreamy and I for a while had rested my head on his shoulder as he sang, sang to me a song named as 'I'm yours'. ***** "How did this happen again?" He asked me. "I don't know. We have so much fun together. You kept on holding my hand and we sat on roller coasters which I was afraid of. We were having such a romantic moment when we got lost in the crowd. But good thing you had my number as it's the only way through which we are communicating now!" I laughed through the phone. "I'm sorry for screwing up on our first date." He apologized from the other end of the line. O my god he is such a nice guy.
"Come on Chris, It's not your fault we were separated and this is kind of romantic." I tried to cheer him up. "Yeah this is kind of romantic but I am really worried about you." He said in a panicked tone. "I'm fine Chris. Don't worry about me. I'm having the time of my life walking around and talking to the best person in the whole world. He laughed from the other side. I couldn't believe how frank I had gotten with him in just a few hours. I just realized what had happened. My crush had been transformed. "Chris" I said. "Yes Emily?" "Chris, I think I have fallen in love with you." I never thought I could say that. "Chris, do you feel the same way about me?" I waited for a reply. No reply. "Chris, are you there?". No reply "Chris?" Had he hung up? No the call was still connected. "Chris? Can you here me" I asked. "Yes I can" Some one held my hand from behind me so softly as if he thought my hand was a feather. I
spun around to see him staring right into my eyes. I shut the cell phone and put it in unable to look away from his eyes. He then held my other hand and pulled me as close to him as I could be. He kept staring softly into my eyes as I stared back into his. Then he brought his lips close to mine. We were only inches away and he filled the gap in between. ***** "You both actually kissed?" Megan eagerly asked me on the phone. I twisted and turned on my bed around "Yeah!" "Seriously? How Long?" She asked. "If it was a second, or countless hours I do not know but the sweetest thing about it was that it wasn't vigorous, just lips touching but it was the softest and most gentle kiss ever shared in this world and that’s all that matters."
