Call for IPSF Pharmacy Education (PE) Ambassadors

In order to facilitate a better outreach to pharmacy students and their schools worldwide within the domain of pharmacy education, IPSF is offering an opportunity for pharmacy students to become active locally and serve as PE Ambassadors in their home countries. The Ambassadors will work together with the Chairperson of Pharmacy Education and Pharmacy Education Research Coordinator on a number of projects, as specified below, to ensure successful implementation of these in their respective peer networks.

FIP-IPSF Student Learning Experience Questionnaire (SLEQ) Student Learning Experience Questionnaire (SLEQ) is an on-going global survey conducted in partnership with FIP Education Initiative (FIPEd) with the aim of measuring and mapping students learning experience in pharmacy schools around the world. The data collected from this survey shall provide a key evidence for the advancement of pharmacy education around the globe. The role of the Ambassadors lies in stressing the importance of contribution to the project to their peers and motivating them to submit their response to the survey. A country-based targeted number of desired responses shall be provided along with promotional materials and methodological support to guarantee smooth involvement of the Ambassador nation-wide.

FIP World List of Pharmacy Schools The FIP World List of Pharmacy Schools is the most extensive and up-to-date list of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Schools in the world, available online at http://aim.fip.org/world-list-ofpharmacy-schools/. The list is continually updated and reviewed, providing the latest contact information to the outside world. As the PE Ambassador you will be responsible for: - Identifying schools in your country not yet listed, and establishing contacts with their authorities to receive relevant contact information for the new listing on the database - Reviewing the existing database entries from your country to ensure they are adequate and upto-date - Updating the database based on collected country-based data

Other PE initiatives Upon completion of tasks related to the FIP-IPSF Student Learning Experience Questionnaire and the FIP World List of Pharmacy Schools, the Ambassadors will receive opportunities for further involvement in global PE-related projects, if interested. The Pharmacy Education Research Coordinator and Chairperson of Pharmacy Education will provide more information upon completion of the afore-mentioned tasks.

The work period of the PE Ambassadors is between February and April 2014. The Ambassadors will be issued a statement of accomplishment awarded jointly by FIPEd and IPSF, provided they meet certain target that will be determined according to the number of pharmacy students and schools in their country. In their activities the Ambassadors are expected to cooperate with the IPSF Contact Person in their country. Please consult IPSF Contact Person in your country and submit the completed nomination form to the Chairperson of Pharmacy Education (education@ipsf.org) and Pharmacy Education Research Coordinator (research@ipsf.org) no later than Friday, 28th February 2014.
