Shashi Bhushan did his schooling from Delhi Public School at Bokaro Steel City, a small town in the

state of Jharkhand. With special interest in Mathematics, Physics and Finance, he completed his B. Tech. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hauz Khas, New Delhi. He then proceeded to work with Indian Oil Corporation Limited in their Projects Department After honing his analytical skills, Shashi joined Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad where he looked into the entire gamut of project management activities of oil & gas pipeline projects. where he specialized in Finance and Strategy. Since then he has worked with organizations of national and international repute. He has thus over 12 years of experience spread across large Project Management, Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Strategy Formulation and Fund Raising. Some of the notable transactions / pitches he has worked on as a M&A banker:

o Transaction advisor and fairness opinion advisor to a leading company in India on consolidation of its FMCG business into its flagship company via merger o Merger of a leading Refiner with its parent, a diversified company with interests in oil & gas refining and marketing, petrochemicals, organized retail and development of SEZ o Buy-side Transaction for consumer finance business of a leading NBFC on behalf of a leading private sector bank in India o Buy-side Transaction for a leading Valves Manufactures in Italy on behalf of a leading Engineering and Construction Conglomerate in India While being part of Corporate Finance team of various corporates, he has worked on multiple M&A transactions and fund raising: o Private equity infusion in the power distribution subsidiary of a leading listed company o Sale of power distribution business to a strategic investor o Securing term sheets for long term loan and fund / non fund based working capital facilities o Coordination of due diligence activities During his consulting days, he had been instrumental on following projects:

o Developed a business case to set up a new Strategic Business Unit that will own and operate select marine offshore support vessels for an Engineering and Construction Conglomerate in India o Drafted a paper on World and Indian Steel Industry for presentation by an Accenture Partner in a steel industry conference o Operational excellence program across Design, Project Management and Engineering Management divisions of an Engineering Conglomerate o Executed an Operational Excellence module in a Lead-Zinc Smelter of a London listed Metals and Mining group
