Ritual Magic, Mind Control and the UFO Phenomenon

- By Adam Gorightly

Part 1
It was not long after my own encounter with strange aerial phenomenon that I began to see a link between UFOs to such seemingly disparate topics as psychedelics, psychotronics, and ritual magick As the years pass, the !"traterrestrial #ypothesis $!%#& makes far less sense to the obser'er than other theories ranging from mind control conspiracies or ( on the other hand ( fissures in the space-time continuum which pro'ide a portal of entry for ghostly apparitions that can be saucer-shaped or e'en take on the form of )oth-)en, *hupacabras or the Blessed +irgin )ary UFOs encompass a wide range of phenomenon and cannot be categori,ed simply in terms of little gray skinned buggers from -eta-.eticuli sho'ing probes up human rectums $Ouch/& %o me the term 0UFO0 simply suggests something une"plainable ho'ering in outer or inner space, whether it is machine-like el'es encountered under the influence of 1)%, or nuts and bolt craft performing ine"plicable aerial maneu'ers o'er Area 23 UFOs are limited only by our imagination, and to consider them merely craft from another gala"y is as narrow a 'iew as postulating that newborn babies are deli'ered e"clusi'ely by storks UFOs are also ( in my estimation ( a product of altered consciousness, which is not to suggest that all sightings are in part, or in whole, complete hallucinations 4hat I5m suggesting is that in order to obser'e UFOs, one must often enter into a more recepti'e state, much like a psychic or channeler tunning into 'oices or subtle energies *hannelers must first induce in themsel'es a trance state before being able to contact 0'oices from the beyond0 %he same goes for magickal workings wherein magicians carry out rituals in order to in'oke spirits and6or demons A corollary to the abo'e statement is the famed Amalantrah 4orking of legendary occultist Aleister *rowley, which consisted of a series of 'isions he recei'ed from 7anuary through )arch of 3839 'ia his then 0:carlet 4omen,0 one .oddie )inor %hroughout his life, *rowley had a number of :carlet 4omen, who acted as 0*hannels0 for otherworldly transmissions of angelic and6or demonic origin %he :carlet 4oman also played a large part in *rowley5s notorious se" ritual, at times combining drugs and bestiality to stir up those strange energies into which good ol5 Uncle Al was trying to tap %o ;uote *rowley chronicler <enneth Grant from Aleister *rowley and the #idden God=
>*rowley was aware of the possibility of opening the spatial gateways and of admitting an e"traterrestrial current in the human life-wa'e It is an occult tradition ( and ?o'ecraft ga'e it persistent utterance in his writings ( that some transfinite and superhuman power is marshaling its forces with intent to in'ade and take possession of this planet %his is reminiscent of *harles Fort5s dark hints about a secret society on earth already in contact with cosmic beings and, perhaps, preparing the way for their ad'ent *rowley dispels the aura of e'il with which these authors $?o'ecraft and Fort& in'est the fact@ he prefers to interpret it thelemically, not as an attack upon human consciousness from within, to embrace other stars and to absorb their energies into a system that is thereby enriched and rendered truly cosmic by the process A

It was through the Amalantrah 4orking ( which included the ingestion of hashish and mescaline in its rituals ( that *rowley came into contact with an interdimensional entity named ?am, who by the way Bust happens to be a dead ringer for the popular conception of the 0Grey0 alien depicted on the co'er of 4hitley :trieber5s *ommunion *rowley called them 0!nochian entities0 because he purportedly contacted them by using 0!nochian call0, a *abalistic system6language de'ised by 3Cth century !li,abethan magician, 1r 7ohn 1ee From this alleged encounter, some ha'e inferred that the industrious )r *rowley intentionally opened a portal of entry through the practice of ritual magick, which allowed the likes of ?am and other 0alien greys0 a passageway onto !arth plane 1r 7ohn 1ee and his 0scryer0, !dward <elly, had their own strange encounters with ( as they call them ( 0little men0 who mo'ed about 0in a little fiery cloud0, thus a pattern e"ists in the lore of ritual magic connecting UFOs to sorcery :ome now belie'e that what *rowley tapped into was the same unconscious reser'oir of high weirdness that helped launch the current rash of alien abductions, as reported by such 0e"perts0 in the field as Bud #opkins, 7ohn )ack, 1a'id 7acobs et al 4hen making these connections, bear in mind that many abductees recall their encounters with these gray skinned creatures only after they5'e been hypnotically regressed Once again, we see that trance state ( not unlike those A:*5s produced during rituals such as the Amalantrah 4orking ( are often the triggering factor which opens up a portal for these strange entities According to <enneth Grant, this tradition has been continued by current day adepts of the Great Beast, who follow in his footsteps practicing ritual magic to in'oke these 0alien entities0 In Outside the Circles of Time, Grant writes=
>:ome belie'e that the UFO phenomena are part of the 0miracle0, and a mounting mass of e'idence seems to suggest that mysterious entities ha'e been located within the earth5s ambience for countless centuries and that more and more people are being born with innate ability to see, or in some way sense their presence Drayer for deific inter'ention in ancient times has now become a cri de coeure to e"tra-terrestrial or interdimensional entities, according to whether the manifestations are 'iewed as occuring within man5s consciousness, or outside himself in apparently obBecti'e but often in'isible entities Eew Isis ?odge has in its archi'es the sigils of some of these entities %he sigils com from a grimoire of unknown origin which forms a part of the dark ;uabalahs of Bes;ul, located by magicians in the %unnel of Fuliefi %he grimoire describes Four Gates of e"traterrestrial entry into, and emergence from, the known Uni'erse A

4hat Grant is speaking of is a form of ritual magic$k& practiced by such groups as the Golden 1awn, and the Ordo %empli Orientis$O % O & 0:igils0 are line drawings and diagrams that ser'e as signatures of entities accessible to a trained magician familiar with 0!nochian calls0 and other methods of summoning 0spirits0 A grimoire is a directory of such sigils, and a manual for their use A noted disciple of *rowley5s, 7ack Darsons ( one time head of the *alifornia branch of the O % O , and renowned rocket scientist ( carried on this tradition of interdimensional contact when, in 38GH ( with the aid of 0Frater # 0 ( he made contact with some sort of entities not at all unlike *rowley5s 0?am0 %his all took place during a series of magic rituals deemed the Babalon 4orkings 4hat makes this story all the more bi,arre is that Darson5s accomplice in this endea'or ( the aforementioned Frater # ( became more commonly known afterwards as the charismatic cult leader ? .on #ubbard, the founder of :cientology

Apparently, #ubbard played a role similar to that of !dward <elly, 0scryer0 for the aforementioned 1r 7ohn 1ee, of whom *rowley was an ardent admirer A scryer works as a receptor of otherworldly communications, often using a crystal ball or similar de'ice in conBunction with the magician5s rituals and ceremonies to summon beings from other dimensions %ogether magician and scryer work hand-in-hand in summoning these otherworldly beings= be they angels, demons or spirits of the dead *rowley5s :carlet 4oman, in many instances, performed this same function@ for instance *rowley5s first wife, .ose <elly ( while in a magical trance ( recei'ed the first three chapters of the infamous Book of the ?aw, the manuscript that laid the foundation for *rowley5s 0religion0, %helema Furthermore, the portal of entry for the e"traterrestrial beings that *rowley theoretically opened $when he in'oked the entity 0?am0& may ha'e been further enlarged by Darsons and #ubbard with the commencement of the Babalon 4orking, thus facilitating a monumental paradigm shift in human consciousness As <enneth Grant wrote, 0%he IBabalonJ 4orking began Bust prior to the wa'e of une"plained ariel phenomena now recalled as the 5Great Flying :aucer Flap/5 Darsons opened a door and something flew in 0 :uch researchers as 7ohn *arter suggest that the detonation of atomic bombs o'er 7apan ( during the latter part of 4orld 4ar II ( may ha'e also played a part in opening this door between dimensions or, at least, attracted the curiosity of our intergalactic neighbors As %helemic history instructs, 38GC ended the first stage of the Babalon 4orking, as Darsons and #ubbard parted ways amid a cloud of turmoil $Apparently, #ubbard split with Darsons wife and a large part of his fortune & It was the same year the )odern Age of UFOs flew into 'iew with the <enneth Arnold sightings o'er )t .ainer in 4ashington state, followed not long after by the legendary saucer crash in .oswell, Eew )e"ico 38GC was also the year that marked the passing of the Great Beast, Aleister *rowley Eot long after these monumental e'ents, in 38G9, Albert #offman ga'e birth to ?:1, which indicates that strange things were indeed aloof in the collecti'e unconscious of humanity between the years of 38GH-G9 *onnecting all this high weirdness up e'en tighter is conspiracy researcher 7ohn 7udge, who ( in an inter'iew on <DF< radio, ?os Angeles on August 3K, 3898 dubbed 0Unidentified Fascist Obser'atories0 ( stated that <enneth Arnold and 7ack Darsons were flying partners, though I ha'e as yet, been unable to find additional corroboration to support his claim As for ? .on #ubbard ( though it is not well publici,ed by current day members of the *hurch of :cientology ( much of his 0religion0 was based on a bi,arre cosmology he apparently concocted, perhaps to see how much his flock was willing to swallow, a thesis which suggested that se'eral million years ago the souls of dead space aliens $%hetans& entered into the body of !arth humans, and that is part of the reason why today were so screwed up as a species Another interesting 0UFO0 parallel to note is that Darsons and #ubbard5s 0'isionary e"perience0 with these alien-like entities transpired in the *alifornia desert, which during the late GL5s and 2L5s was a hotbed for flying saucer acti'ity It was in this setting that such famous 0*ontactees0 as George Adamski and George #unt 4illiamson in'oked their own brand of cosmic messengers transported by saucers, cigar-shaped 'essels and the like, often originating from nearby +enus, or other seemingly uninhabitable planets in our solar system

In the 38ML5s ( prior to his 0:pace Brother0 encounters ( Adamski operated a monastery dubbed 0%he .oyal-Order of %ibet,0 which afforded him a permit to make sacrificial wine during the Drohibition After the Drohibition ended, Adamski5s monastery suddenly closed its doors, and he afterwards opened a burger stand near the )ount Dolomar Obser'atory 4hile there, Adamski claimed to ha'e helped astronomers photograph se'eral UFO5s ( a claim that afterwards was ne'er 'erified by anyone at the obser'atory Adamski5s first encounter with the 0:pace Brothers0 occurred in the )oBa'e 1esert on Eo'ember KL, 382K, when ( in the company of George #unt 4illiamson and some other friends ( he witnessed a cigar-shaped craft being pursued by military Bets 7ust before disappearing from sight, the craft eBected a sil'er disc, which landed a short distance from Adamski and his party 4hen Adamski arri'ed at the saucer he was greeted by a man with long blonde hair, wearing a one-piece suit %elepathically, the 0man0 informed Adamski he was from +enus, and that he was concerned about the possibility of atomic bomb radiation from !arth reaching other planets in the solar system, and that 'arious beings from throughout the gala"y were 'isiting !arth harboring these same concerns According to Adamski, he was taken aboard one of the alien ships and flown around to se'eral 'enues throughout the uni'erse, including the dark side of the moon 1uring the course of his ariel foray, Adamski took an array of spurious photographs that ha'e been widely 'iewed as a hoa" In 0Unidentified Fascist Obser'atories0, 7ohn 7udge asserts that Adamski was an asset of the *IA, who in his lecture tours throughout the 2L5s and HL5s dispersed disinfo on behalf of the *ompany Adamski5s colleague ( George #unt 4illiamson ( went on to author se'eral UFO books, such as Other %ongues ( Other Flesh, and promulgated the idea of a cosmic good-'ersus-e'il battle taking place between the 0good guys0 from the dog star, :irius, 'ersus the e'il shitkickers from Orion :trangely enough, the planet :irius is a recurring theme found throughout Occult and UFO lore Of note in this regard is .obert %emple5s %he :irius )ystery, published in 38CC, which documents the history of the 1ogon tribe in Africa, and their fabled meetings with the Eommo, a race of three-eyed, crab-clawed beings from :irius It was these intergalactic emissaries ( as 1ogon legends record ( that passed onto the tribe as far back as MKLL B * 'arious astronomical data, among which that :irius has a companion star in'isible to the naked eye %hese legends far predate the ad'ent of telescopes, and were later confirmed by astronomers %his 0companion0 star ( :irius B ( wasn5t e'en photographed until 38CL In addition to this knowledge regarding :irius B, such as the fact that 7upiter has four moons@ :aturn has a ring around it@ and that the planets in our solar system orbit around the sun All of these facts, of course, were later confirmed by science In the :irius )ystery, %emple traces contact with the Eommos all the way back to :umeria circa G2LL B * At that time, he says, these three-eyed-crab-clawed creatures appeared in their mighty space ships from the stars, bestowing unto humankind 'ast secrets@ re'ealing mysteries and esoteric knowledge passed on to initiates in 'arious secret societies in !gypt, the Eear !ast, and Greece %hese initial contacts %emple contends, planted the seeds for the 'arious mystery religions, whose offshoots include the likes of Giordano Bruno, 1r 7ohn 1ee, and the o'erall foundation which laid the stones for Freemasonry, and other secret schools of esoteric knowledge such as the <nights %emplar and the .osicrucians In fact, Freemasons belie'e that ci'ili, ation on !arth was initially formed by initiates from the :irius

star system, whom they e;uate with the !gyptian %rinity of Isis, Osiris, and #orus In these legends, Osiris has been portrayed as a precursor to *hrist, who was first crucified then later resurrected, forming the basis of an !gyptian priesthood that worships :un gods %he adepts of these mystery religions ha'e always referred to themsel'es ( in one form or another ( as the Illuminati@ those who ha'e been 0illuminated0 by their worship of the 'arious :un gods6)oon goddesses In his treatise, %emple further notes that the entire !gyptian calendar re'ol'ed around the mo'ements of :irius, and that the calendar year began with the 0dog days0 when :irius started to rise behind the :un According to Dhillip +andenburg in %he *urse of the Dharaoh= 0An archaeologist named 1uncan )acEaughton disco'ered in 38MK that the long dark tunnels in the Great Dyramid of *heops function as telescopes, making the stars 'isible e'en in the daytime %he Great Dyramid is oriented, according to )acEaughton, to gi'e a 'iew, from the <ing5s *hamber, of the area of the southern sky in which :irius mo'es throughout the year 0 %he brightest star in the hea'ens, :irius is used for na'igational purposes because it usually remains fi"ed in the sky *omparati'ely speaking, it5s appro"imately M2 times brighter than our own sun, and is regarded in occult circles as 0the hidden god of the cosmos 0 %he famous emblem of the all-seeing eye ( seen ho'ering abo'e the unfinished pyramid ( is a depiction of the !ye of :irius, and is a common motif found throughout )asonic lore It is no secret that many of our nation5s founding fathers were Freemasons, which e"plains the odd appearance of the !ye of :irius on the dollar bill@ a symbol seen e'eryday by millions of people across the globe, imprinting it5s image fore'er in our psyches %he imprinting of such imagery has been called into ;uestion in recent times by a whole host of conspiracy theorists, who ( in their Eew 4orld Order scenarios ( connect such fraternal orders as the <nights of )alta, Freemasonry and .osicrucianism with the 0insidious0 symbol of :irius, the eye in the triangle At the top of this pyramid ( the conspiracy theorists suggest ( is the dreaded illuminati, tying all of these fraternal orders and secret societies together in a far flung plot intended to bring mankind to its knees under a futuristic Orwellian nightmare@ a totalitarian society mas;uerading as a libertarian democracy, which uses )asonic imagery to program the masses As if this entire story wasn5t already Bumbled enough, the dawning of the KLth century ushered in a new generation of contacts paying homage to the 01og :tar0, e"pounding e'er further upon the legend of the ho'ering eye upon the pyramid .ight around the turn of the century, a gentleman named ?ucien-Francois 7ean-)aine formed an order in #aiti called the *ult of the Black :nake that used rituals borrowed from *rowley5s O % O in combination with certain 'oodoo practices In 38KK, these rituals reportedly summoned forth a disembodied being named ?am, the 'ery same entity that Aleister *rowley made contact with a few years earlier In fact, <enneth Grant has stated that *rowley 0une;ui'ocally identifies his #oly Guardian Angel with :othis$:irius&, or :et-Isis 0 ?ater ( in the 382L5s and HL5s ( the aforementioned saucer 0contactee0 George #unt 4illiamson once again summoned forth certain deni, ens purportedly from :irius, con'ersing to them in the same 0!nochian0 or 0Angelic0 language used by 7ohn 1ee and Aleister *rowley 4illiamson ( in his 'arious books an lectures ( also spoke of a secret society on !arth that has been in contact with :irius for thousands of years, and that the emblem of this secret society is the eye of #orus, otherwise known as the all-seeing eye

As pre'iously noted, 4illiamson was a close associate of George Adamski, perhaps the most famous of the early UFO *ontactees, who claimed to be connected with astronomers at Dalomar Obser'atory in *alifornia, in whose company he allegedly witnessed se'eral UFO sightings In a fascinating essay entitled 0:orcery, :e", Assassination, and the :cience of :ymbolism0, author 7ames :helby 1ownard describes a 0:irius-worship cult0 reaching all the way to the highest le'els of the *IA In this pro'ocati'e piece, :helby describes one of their rituals taking place at the Dalomar Obser'atory under the telescopically focused light of :irius, bathing its participants in luminance of the maBestic 1og-:tar@ a true Illuminati ritual on high A rash of :irian references continued on into the 38CL5s, perhaps inspired by .obert %emple5s book In 38CG, :cience fiction writer Dhillip < 1ick had some sort of 0mystical e"perience0 which at first he attributed to psychotronic transmissions,0 as he called them, commenced on )arch KL, 38CG, showering him with endless reams and streams of 'isual and audio data Initially, this o'erpowering onslaught of messages that 1ick recei'ed was e"tremely unpleasant and, as he termed them, 0die messages 0 4ithin the following week, he reported being kept awake by 0'iolet phosphor acti'ity, eight hours uninterrupted 0 A description of this e'ent in a fictionali,ed form appears in A :canner, 1arkly %he content of this phosphene acti'ity was in the form of modern abstract graphics followed by :o'iet )usic serenading his head, in addition to .ussian names and words appearing there, as well 1ick5s original theory was that .ussian mind control agents were targeting him with these transmissions At the outset, 1ick felt the emanations in'ading his mind were of a male'olent nature, although in time he began to belie'e they were something entirely different In a letter to Ira !inhorn dated February 3L, 38C9, 1ick went into more depth on those psychotronic transmissions, claiming that they 0seemed sentient0 #e felt that an alien life form e"isting in some upper layer of the !arth5s atmosphere had been attracted by the :o'iet psychotronic transmissions Apparently, this alien life form operated as a 0station0, tapping into some sort of interplanetary communication grid that, 0 contained and transmitted 'ast amounts of information 0 4hat 1ick initially recei'ed were the :o'iet transmissions, but e'entually this alien life form ( whom he called -ebra ( became 0 attracted or potentiated by the :o'iet micro-wa'e psychotronic transmissions 0 In the months that followed, this alien entity ( according to 1ick ( 'astly impro'ed his mental and physical well being in a number of ways It $-ebra& ga'e him 0 comple" and accurate information about myself and also about our infant son, which, -ebra said, had a critical and undiagnosed birth defect which re;uired emergency and immediate surgery )y wife rushed our baby to the doctor and told the doctor what I had said $more precisely what -ebra had said to me& and the doctor disco'ered that it was so :urgery was scheduled for the following day ( i e as soon as possible Our son would ha'e died otherwise 0 $1ick5s wife %essa and others ha'e since confirmed this story regarding the medical conditions of himself and son, *hristopher & Dhil 1ick felt -ebra was totally benign, and it held great contempt for the :o'iets and their psychotronic e"periments Furthermore, -ebra informed 1ick that the !arth was dying, and that spray-cans were 0 destroying the layer of atmosphere in which -ebra e"isted It was not until se'eral years after his 0mystical e"periences0 with -ebra that Dhil 1ick finally wrote about these e'ents in his classic no'el +A?I: Drior to the publication of +A?I:, 1ick had ne'er made any mention of :irius in connection with the e'ents that so drastically

Of the 'arious cottage industries that ha'e emerged from the field of conspiracy theory, the )ontauk DroBect is perhaps one of the more bi,arre, its mythology a 'eritable smorgasbord of paranormal conspiracies and 0comic book metaphysics0, as 1isinformation5s .ichard )et,ger has so aptly termed it %ime tra'el, mind control, ;uantum physics, weather modification, teleportation, suppressed technologies, and gray alien hiByn" merely scratch the surreal surface behind the many mind-blowing scenarios detailed in the numerous books authored by )ontauk fraternity, such as 0%he )ontauk DroBect= !"periments in %ime,0 0)ontauk .e'isited= Ad'entures in :ynchronicity,0 and 0%he Black :un= )ontauk5s Ea,i-%ibetan *onnection0 %o the casual obser'er, the )ontauk DroBect appears to be a hodge-podge of many di'erse disciplines, much of which would be considered by the mainstream as 0crank science 0 %ake a little 4ilhelm .eich, sprinkle it with Eikola %esla, then add a dose of Aleister *rowley, and what you end up with is one magnificent mindfuck that goes off on so many tangents and arcane a'enues that the mind boggles, either discounting this entire sordid tale, or con'ersely becoming so caught up and confused in this cosmic conundrum that the )ontauk mythos becomes the focal point in their li'es As legend has it, this whole weird tale began towards the end of 4orld 4ar II, an alleged result of the U : Go'ernment5s top-secret .ainbow DroBect According to 'aried sources, the initial goal of %he .ainbow DroBect was to make a ship ( specifically the USS Eldridge ( undetectable by radar :uch endea'ors as %he .ainbow DroBect were ;uite ob'iously a precursor to future stealth fighter craft technology, or in the parlance of Star Trek, a 0cloaking de'ice 0 Although the e"periment was allegedly successful in causing the !ldridge to disappear from the Dhiladelphia Ea'al Pard, it also had some bi,arre side effects that took the proBect from out of the realms of hard science and tossed it hapha, ardly into a raging sea of high weirdness For you see, not only was the ship made in'isible to the naked eye, but it also produced an une"pected conse;uence, in that it teleported the !ldridge and its passengers straight out of the space-time continuum, and into the +oid :hortly thereafter, the ship reappeared a hundred miles away, in Eorfolk, +irginia It was then transported back again to the Dhilly Ea'al Pard where some crew members were terminally planted into the bulkhead of the ship %hose who sur'i'ed the ordeal entered into a state of madness and terror, totally freaked-out by the e'ents that had occurred %he .ainbow DroBect ( after its somewhat successful and e;ually ill-fated physical 'anishing of the U:: !ldridge ( continued on after the 38GL5s, conducting co'ert e"periments under the shadowy umbrella of U : Go'ernment
