finishes and all other components to remain and to adjacent spaces. Contractor will be held
responsible for any damage done to existing spaces.
Main Corridors
Ensure adequate space is left for Occupant access to remainder of space within each Main
Corridors.
Equipment
Equipment shown above to remain. Ensure to leave 915mm clear space between
equipment and POLY. Ensure all joints are taped and top and bottom edges are properly
sealed. Ensure no dust and construction debris enters the protected spaces.
Erect temporary hoarding as follows. Partition to be 65mm metal stud at 410mm, 0.45
gauge o.c. with 13mm gypsum board one side only (Exterior side of room) to u/s of
suspended T-bar ceiling at approximately 3016mm A.F.F. 5

Demolition Notes:
1. Existing raised floor system to remain except where modifications required to accommodate new partitions as
indicated in Demolition Legend.
2. Modify existing partition to accommodate new door and frame where indicated above. Secure remainder of
partition as required.
3. Existing "shield" door and associated door hardware to be removed and turned over to Tenant. Door frame to
remain. Door equipped with security alarm to be disconnected and reconnected to new door #010 on Partition Plan
on Sheet ID05. Ensure the security alarm work is completed by a Contractor that is familiar with the type as it is an
older system and no longer available in North America.
4. All door, frame and glazing not reused to be removed and discarded. All door hardware not reused to be turned
over to Tenant.
5. Remove and discard existing top of partition 152mm high x 64mm wide brushed aluminum channel secured to
suspended T-bar ceiling.
6. Refer to Electrical, Demolition Plan on Sheet ED-1 for the removal of electrical components within raised floor
system.
7. Cut back existing partition as shown and ensure stability. Ensure no damage to remainder of partition. Cut back
existing wall mounted acoustic panel to suit new partition length. Ensure cut is straight and fabric secured to panel
backing.
8. Reserved.
9. Existing gypsum wallboard partition outside of enclosed offices as shown above to be cut open to accommodate
new blocking for equipment. Refer to Partition Legend on Sheet ID05 for additional information.
10. Where existing partition finished with brushed aluminum top channel below ceiling requires to be cut due to
adjacent partition to be removed, ensure cut is straight and no damage is done to remaining portion as shown.
Retain top channel from demolition for patching as identified on Partition Plan on Sheet ID05.
11. Existing circular trap door located above baseboard to be removed and discarded. Cut existing piping for central
vacuum below raised floor and cap piping to remain.

Interior Tenant Partition - Secured Slab to u/s of Steel Shield Slab- Thickness 217mm
Partition to be as follows:
- 2.6 gauge flattened expanded metal mesh diamond dimensions of 20mm x 40mm secured to
32mm x 150mm x 1.22 galvanized steel studs at 400mm o.c.1.22 gauge or greater that has
been solidly and permanently attached to the true floor and true ceiling.
- Covered with 2 layers of 16mm Fire-resistant gypsum board both sides, staggered, mudded

Partition Notes:
1. Infill opening within existing partition where door and frame was removed as shown above. Construction to match
partition Type 1. Ensure new and existing partition surfaces are align and transition is smooth and seamless.
Prepare partition to receive new paint finish.
2. Where new partitions meet existing wall mounted acoustic panels, cut acoustic panel back to suit new partition
width. Ensure cut is straight and fabric secured to panel backing. Secure remainder of acoustic panels as required.
Supply and install brushed aluminum "L" trim at cut edges on both sides of new partition.
3. Cut existing wall mounted acoustic panels as required both sides of existing door frame to suit new secured
partition Type 3 as shown above. Panels located on the outside of the new Vestibule to remain. Ensure cut is
straight and fabric secured to panel backing. Secure remainder of acoustic panels as required. Supply and install
brushed aluminum "L" trim at cut edges on the outside of the new Vestibule partition. Remove and discard portion
of wall mounted acoustic panels within the new Vestibule. Repair, patch, sand and make good ready to receive new
paint finish gypsum wallboard partitions where existing wall mounted acoustic panels where removed on each side
of door frame.
4. Supply and install full partition height wood blocking to match wall mounted acoustic panels thickness finished
with a brushed aluminum plate secured with screws. All screws to be countersunk and flush with plate fascia. Refer
to Detail 6/5/10 and Elevation 7/5/10 for information.
5. Finish partition edge with gypsum wallboard where existing partition was removed. Repair, patch, sand and make
good ready to receive new paint finish. Supply and install new full partition height brushed aluminum "L" trim to
finish edge of cut wall mounted acoustic panel where indicated above. Finish brushed aluminum top channel as
required at partition edge/corner with material retained from demolition.
6. All partition dimensions on plan above are shown from fascia of wall mounted acoustic panels where applicable.
Where no wall mounted acoustic panels located, dimensions are shown from gypsum wallboard fascia.
7. Door frame for door #010 to be braced horizontally half way up on either side between studs and frame to
prevent force entry.
8. New gypsum wallboard finish to align with existing where existing partitions where cut open to accommodate
new blocking for equipment. Repair, patch, sand and make good ready to receive new paint finish.
9. Where existing partition finished with brushed aluminum top channel below ceiling was cut due demolition of
adjacent partition, finish top partition edge/corner as required with material retained from demolition .

- Dead bolts must have at least 25mm throw and conform to Building Code
- Door frame is to be braced horizontally half way up on either side between studs and frame to prevent force entry
- Door hinges should be located on the interior; otherwise exterior hinges must be tamper-proof or pinned
- Have an STC rating of 51 unless a vestibule is constructed
15. Existing door stop for door #001, 003 and 005 may need to be relocated to suit new adjacent partition location.
16. All metal doors and frames to be painted with paint suitable for metal application. Properly prepare metal door and
frame as required and ensure no pealing, etc...
17. Heavy cold rolled door and metal frame for door #010 to be painted with Gloss, Level 1 finish.
18.Supply and install caulking suitable for painting around all door frame inside and outside of room.
