ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in 2006 with an intake of 60 students. Presently the department is offering B.E in Electrical and Electronics and M.E Power Electronics and Drives. The department is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Electrical Engineering Department has been actively involved in research and consultancy in all the fields of Electrical Engineering. The Department has well equipped laboratories and research facilities. It is constantly modernizing the laboratory facilities with latest technology and research. OBJECTIVE MATLAB is a high level technical computing language and interactive environment for algorithm development, data visualization and data analysis. Similarly PSIM Software is used to simulate circuits for various

applications like power electronics, renewable energy systems and drives control. The main objective of this programme is to provide hands on training in MATLAB and PSIM Platform. In addition to this, the workshop offers an opportunity to researchers and faculty member to know about the various applications of MATLAB and PSIM softwares.
